Here's a couple photos I could focus on the rust I'll have to cut more out. Since I will have to cut more I won't be able to fold it and weld it like it would normally be done. Figured I could use the panel bonding method with structural adhesive then it would still be bonded and I wouldn't have to try and weld higher up. Only in the rear wheel arch area is needed.
-
I'll try and take a photo. There is structural adhesive available, and it would only be just on the wheel well arch area, but I figured Id ask about it.
-
So I trimmed out the rust on my rear wheel arches, now I had to remove also parts of the rear wheel well area because the rust went through those as well. I was going to try and weld the rest before repairing the actual fender but found more rust higher up. Shop now that I found more I have to cut out would it possible to use some epoxy to reattach too close up the fender well or does it have to be welded?

It is truly sad that some one that made a difference in Z community is now gone from a tragic accident. He will not be forgotten. RIP John Coffey.

Hey everyone, I just picked up these old school recaros I stumbled upon. I'm wondering the best way I should mount these? I want to be able to use the seat adjusters as well. I saw some mounting hardware on eBay from Crowder customizing, but I'm not sure about them if anyone has used them, please let me know.

I'm borrowing one currently, but I would want my own for sure for the next z.lol -
Where have you guys purchased your paint with the paint codes? If I wanted to order a touch up paint in lets say 907 racing green, where or how would I go about that? Looking online it doesn't seem to have any luck with all the colors let alone "safe" sites.

This is interesting because my 70 has it but after reading this I'm going to hand to investigate and try to see what brand it is. It's rudd color now so I'll have to remove it and wash it properly to find a brand our part number. I wad looking to order a new one too.

1970 240z Project (Very slow, money is tight)

So I had the chance to put on my oil spray bar...to my amazement it did not fit. I ended up emailing Larry and spoke to him about the bar not fitting. He makes the bar to spec, however because our cars are taken apart time and time again, they aren't always going to match up to the bar because of the movement. So I had to widen the mounting hole on one of the holes, I just had to be careful with the oil jacket. After some massaging I was able to the get the bar on and bolted her down. NICE! I went ahead and grinded down the three spots under my valve cover so I could get this thing to close properly. I found some polishing compound a friend gave me awhile back, I may try to use that in the next few days to see if I can get a nice shiny 2400 on the cover, then give a quick rattle can of the rest. YAY!!! Progress! I found a guy online who has a shop in my city that has experience with Z's, I asked him about welding and if he had an hourly rate, $125 per hour. I sent him some pics to see what the time frame may be since that is the next thing stopping me form painting, I'll go ahead and see what the damage is for shits and giggles. -

So I've been thinking about painting the car myself again. I feel I'm not going to have the funds to take it to a shop and get the car painted right. So I'm starting to look for good websites that can show the process on what to do, I know I'm going to have to buy a paint gun and and painting materials. This was a job I wasn't looking to do since I don't want to do a shitty job, but with the baby now here, I think I may have to try to do it. -
I Am! Still putting together my profile, having an issue uploading photos.

Yup, because the spray bar is just pressed in fittings It will become loose and possibly end up somewhere else other then where it's supposed to be after age and higher RPMS. Larry makes them by order out of aluminum and they come with mounting hardware. I went with this application because Im keeping my car as close to original aside from squeezing some extra power out. I would email larry and see if you can do an order if your interested in keeping it original, otherwise you can always upgrade to internally oiled cam and cam towers. Larrys email is.. larryracer240z@gmail.com I will post pics up when I get it in the mail and do the install. Also thanks! I've been taking tons of photos and videos. I need to get a new camera to record, been thinking of a go pro since its an excuse to get one lol. -

I know haven't posted in awhile, but bare with me I have been very busy! Our son was born and I get some time off to help care for the little guy We are so happy he's here! There are plans for him to become a Z guy when he gets to the right age. Oliver was born on Feb 10th and hes a big handful! With my motor being basically done I am upgrading one part which I was hesitant to reuse, The oil spray bar. I wanted to play it safe, so I ordered a spray bar from Larry and it will be here sometime in the next 2 weeks, pics to come when it gets here. On a side note I get to take my son with me in the ST in his new Recaro travel system, wish they had this when I was a baby! More to come on the actual Z! -

I got a new piece for the car I was going to purchase a kameari intake manifold, and I was going to have to shove out some dough, but after looking on a WTB thread and talking to Leon, I made a purchase of a brand new Harada intake that was on Ebay. I was hesitant at first since I haven't bought anything over seas on ebay, but after reading reviews on the seller and sending a few emails, I went ahead and made the purchase. Its looks good and just about mirror image to the old competition version. Heres a few mocked up photos, Im using an messed up gasket thats all tape. I also went to Utah this past week to see my friend, and also to participate in the ST octane academy. I was taught how to do J turns, 180 degree ebrake turns, E brake parking box's, I was able to have track time in the schools Focus and Fiesta ST's including an instructor to help us better our skills as well. I took second place out of 17 people in the autocross competition I'll post some videos when I get them loaded on my channel. Here's my new badging for the car that only Octane academy completions get, also my trophy which is the same hydraulic brake handle that was in the cars! -
Ill be posting picks on my thread later tonight. If you want to see better then ebay images.

Fyi I got my manifold today. So 4-5 day shipping
