  1. thanks jitter, and kenny....lol u must know me all too well I wanna run more boost but i found the limit of the stock clutch about 11 psi seemed to slip when gettin on it yesterday. But after we did the tuning and ran it more it didn't slip anymore??????? musta been some crap left on the clutch or something. Anyway i'm lookin for another clutch, ayone have suggestions and links to sites?
  2. thanks kenny, did u sell ur rb yet?
  3. as the title says it runs and drives i got her running and driving on saturday and drove it around a bit. I must say at 11psi on my old turbo and rb25 feels like 25psi on my old turbo and l28et . i have a good tune on it now but i have to find a way to set the timing right. I was thinking i could take the number one coil off and extend the wire so i can get a clip on it and set it that way. I'm gonna get some vids hopefully tomorrow of me gettin on it and going by the camera. I was gonna take some today but i left the camera at work. I have to sort all the wires out yet and hook the vtec to the haltech yet but it runs very good and smooth. Much better than on the l28.
  4. you have to take me for a ride in the 300 sometime, i'll just pick it up on the way thru i guess. i might leave early like really early on sat morn so i can get to ohio and back in reasonable time.BBZ is having a lil party type thing on sat so i was thinking that i would stop at his house on the way back and hang out.I'm going thru withdrawl not having a turbo car to drive
  5. yep i want it when will ur parents be back up here? i am making a trip down to ohio this weekend to pick up a vette diff for the z i could get it then. i left u a vm on ur phone.its getting very close, i had it running but not for long i had no map sensor hooked up or anything so it ran like crap
  6. this is jersey she is chocolate lab and great dane she is kinda small for being part dane but i still love her:) this is zeus he's beagle and sharpei weird combo but a great dog all around very smart only prob is he has an anxiouty disorder where he hates being alone or locked up in a kenel he hurts himself trying to get out, it's why his head is all scabbed up and both of them(don't mind the mess in the house you can tell i live alone )
  7. here is what i do all day i build these truck and i just finished the red one i had a ton of help of course but they are really neat when they are done.
  8. i have some updated pics in the daylite here are some better ones
  9. thanks mike, the aluminum i used was 1/4 inch thick do you think that is thick enough or do i need more bracing? I figured being that thick would make it very rigid.
  10. yea i cut the pieces and mocked everything up, took it to our sister company to tig it all together. i was thinking of finding the stock intakes and doing just that they go for cheap on ebay and i can have em welded or even made to spec i think. There aren't any velocity stacks in mine but i made sure all the ports are polished and very smooth.
  11. well it was late by the time i got home and i have the car outside so bare with me. I have to polish everything yet and get the tb mounted but i am really excited i should have the car running by the end of the weekend!!! i'll post pics of the ic piping when i get it done i am thinking of attaching the bov to the top of the tb since it already has a huge hole in it for some reason. here is the link to the current post i have on the ic pipes. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=122427 i really need to buy a good camera but there you go in a nutshell i can finally start it!!!!!!!
  12. your setup is close to what mine is right now I pretty much have the same ic as you but a bit bigger i have a custom made intake manifold blitz bov adjustable fpr haltech e6k ron davis radiator electric fan controlled by haltech boost controller managed by haltech stock clutch so far but plan to upgrade soon stock injs again plan to upgrade soon t3/t4e hybrid turbo .70 on the compressor side exhaust side is the stock .63 a/r but it has been machined out to handle a full t4 wheel(internally gated)I have the full t4 housing that will probably be going back on with an external gate. rb25 trans stock rb25 3" ic piping from turbo to intake 65mm tb stock diff for now (vette irs is coming soon) 3" air inlet to turbo all mandrel bent aluminum does anyone know how much the stock clutch can handle?
  13. lol go with the stand alone bikes are over rated i love my haltech and it lets me keep the vvt and when exactly to turn it on and turn it off so i'll still have a nice idle and little better low to mid. After puttin the thermostat in my radiator i realized the haltech controls the electric fan too.........doh you still runnin the stock injs? just gettin myself prepared
  14. Damn!!! u do alot of simulated videos lookin good man your really making me want to get my rb runnin
  15. well took me forever to get the time, with my woman buggin me for time and work beggin me to do over time i finally got some of it done. here is the start of the day, Poor man's garage it was raining early in the day I don't have the intake on it yet so i could only do so much i have enough room now to run the inlet tube for the turbo out front now thru the hole the old ic pipes went thru here is a front view, i was thinking since it's better to have no air get around the front of the ic i moved it all the way to the front of the opening. here's a side shot should have the intake very soon so i should be able to hear it run by next weekend...... i hope here is the mock up of the intake it isn't going to look exactly like this but close i made some modifications to it so it would clear the upper coolant line.
  16. The knock sensor only makes small adjustments to the timing it's more for different fuels that higher boost.
  17. i made something like that for my mazda B2000 and i have to say that it doesn't work well gas shoots out every orface of the carb i ended up putting the efi from my 76 280z on it and it worked very well...........til the engine blew up:) but it was already on it's way out so turboing it made it go out in a blaze of glory
  18. i've doen that a few times to my l28et got so good at replacing pistons i could get them replaced from start to finish in about 6 hrs with the engine still in the car I was running 25-28psi on my hybrid turbo the only bad thing was my lead foot and running 30psi on it I could run 25psi all day long on it and i had no problems at all i'd bump it up to 28 and run it at the track with time to cool down. Car made gobs of power but those ring lands just don't like detonation loved the vid, if your gonna do it do it right and replace the pistons with some forged ones to handle the power. Oh on a side note the machine shop i used to put the new pistons on the rods commented on how stout and built the STOCK rods were on the l28et
  19. bad thing is the elect one was broken when i got it. so the 300zx's with t5 tranny are the same as as the rb? or is it the nissan one? But i would be willing to buy that one from you if you are looking to sell it.
