  1. i tried online but that's cool got another source, i am going up to the napa store to pick up the new starter with the new number i posted before. Do you have any idea of price for like a whole starter and rebuild parts?
  2. i' m game, either of you just let me know when and where and jay..... i do iike ur z31 really one of the few i do like
  3. i'm game ive always wanted a skyline..... if i had 30k i'd buy mike's gtr butttttttt i'm poor so a gts it is seriously ferg where u plan to get one from? canada? if i could get a skyline i'd be the happiest mo fo in huron county maybe we can get a two for one special
  4. bad thing is if you go into a nissan dealer and tell them what it's from they look at you like wha???????? i tried getting replaement parts thru a starter place and they said they couldn't get anything. As far as i know the z32 starter is different on the outside but like you said it might be the same on the inside. The rb starters are gear reduction starters and all the nissan ones i found and trued are all direct drive ones. Anyone got a z32 starter they can tear apart i can tell you just by seeing pics if it's even close
  5. rb25det ebay special turbo been rebuilt about 20 times so now it is a frankenstein turbo not really sure on the trim .70 compressor, started as a .63 on turbine side but has been machined out to handle a full t4 wheel. garrett hauls butt starts at 3k full boost right now (20psi) at 4300rpm no dyno graph yet old set up had this turbo (l28et) ran 12.3 @116mph
  6. yea mine died and there is not any direct replacement for them here, we have to get them from somthing else. But rebuild parts would be sweet too, none of the numbers on the starter crosses with anything over here(i tried alot)
  7. the starter if it works is $60 U.S. u going by the napa number or some other place?
  8. k just got back from the local napa store and the part number i thought was the right one is not. They changed the style of the starter i had them order the one in the book that looks like the right one to see if it will work the part number is 2444514 the two guys at the napa store and super cool but the woman that was there was a bitch. I tried to explain to her the one they ordered was the wrong one and she said well it has to be it. me and the two other guys there tried explaining it to her, took us about 15 mins to make her understand that the car is not listed. The one guy there is going to call around for me to see if he can get us other numbers for other things. Like i said the cas from a z32 will work on my rb with the haltech i have to see if we can try it on a stock ecu to see if we have another source for the cas.
  9. hey guys just for the heck of it i bought a z32 cas to try in my rb25. Well everything looks and is the same except for the plug on the cas. Even the mount i received with the cas will probabaly bolt up to the rb25. The position of the cas on the mount is about 180 off from the rb cas but it looked like it would. The wiring is all the same in the cas as far as hooking it up goes. I dont know how this would work for the stock ecu guys but i can tell you that us haltech guys now have a U.S. source for them now and cheap. I bought my cas with bracket for 60 bucks shipped and i am sure you can get them cheaper since on ebay they sell for cheaper, i was just to impatient to wait so i did the buy it now I would like to see if anyone is interested in trying the one i modded with their stock ecu, i figure i hooked to all the same spots as the stock ecu would so it should work on a stock ecu. Maybe i'll just buy a whole stock ecu set up to try it on.... hmmm
  10. thought about doing that or making one that has rb25det cut out of the metal to let the heat out but still look nice. i thought about maybe making a back plate so you can't see the coils or wiring but still lets heat out, have to post pics of your finned one i wanna see it
  11. here are a couple pics, my engine came with an rb20 cover so i just decided to cut and weld to make it smooth i think it looks nice
