  1. I'm planning on getting one for my zt this winter which one should i get?I want to run about 20-25psi.I'm going to get some head work done and a new cam.Any suggestions?

    Broke my R200

    I've heard they take a good beating.I haven't had troubles with mine,but i'm not making 350hp.Mine needs some work it clunks and lots of play but it takes everything i throw at it and smiles and asks for more.Figure the half shafts would go before the rear.I'm not an expert like some of these guys on here but they should handle that and then some.If i'm wrong guys let me know i think i'll be in the same place soon and will need the info anyway.
  7. Almost everyone in the 12's or higher where on the bottle or some huge built hemi or big block.I'm proud of the car very proud but the speed bug has bitten me and now i'm screwed

The car feels fast but like i said it doesn't sound fast compared to some of the members.It will get there though.I calculated and figured out that it cost me a wopping 500 bucks for the 13 second time.That's including the engine!Not bad for a car i bought for 1000bucks and only put 500 into the motor.I haven't found too many cars that will even race me they are all scard now that i raced that kid in the olds and spanked his car.He's telling everyone how fast my car is it's kinda nice but then not.I like to race just not in stupid places.The only thing in town that could take me is a 2002 vette man that car is nice but he's next There are some built cars really nice blown cars but they don't leave the garage unless it's a car show or something they are never at the track when i go.I can't wait til this weekend to see all the zs and to see how many cars will race on the way down.Win or loose it's still fun if done safely

Thanks guys for all the help and good comments.I like this place better than zcar cuz everyone is nice to me and very patient.I also haven't seen any guys come and start talking crap about us(probably cuz they are scared of the hybridz).I'm constantly having to put up with a couple of guys on zcar talking crap about my times and my car pisses me right off.When i come here i get great advice and good manners from all of you.It's nice to feel like i have a place to go and get away from all the crap inthe world.

Hey drax it's just a 76 280z with a stock 81 zxt engine i put the 5 sp from my old 80 zx 2+2 in it no weight changes except for the front bumper.Acually that time slip was with a half tank of fuel and all my junk in the car.I have about 50 lbs of junk in the car including the spare tire.Anyone looking for 240 parts i have a bunch in my car.I took them off of my parts car and have no place to put them that's why i've been driving around with them.I sent a bunch of pics to andrew hopefully when he gets time he'll post them they are pics of my engine,ic and all that plus one of me doing a burnout at the competition. I posted the times on the mitsu page i've been talking to them about alot of stuff and one guy has replyed so far.It's weird cuz the car feels fast but to me 13's sound kinda slow but it really isn't slow.You guys should of seen it there was a zx2 out there running like 18's it was funny he'd even want to take it out there.I give him props for taking it out but it was funny especially against me.

  13. My bad i read it wrong the time for the 1/8th is 8.648 the mph is the same.I don't know what the 11.268 is for.You where right lonehdrider it was slow.
  14. The slips given to us don't have anything listing the other numbers.Just like i said they have I1,I2,I3,I4 and the I4 is the time and it has a mph for the I4 time.They use to have it all listed but they got a new timer.
  15. That's what the slip says i wrote down everything that was on the slip.
  16. forgot to mention i'm still having traction problems i did those times with tire spin in first or the stock clutch slipping.The only time it slipped was after my burnout.The rest was tire spin i'd burn the clutch to take off but then i'd give it too much throttle and have the tires spinning thru the rest of first.Do you know of any place i can find four bolt rims that are 15x8?

Hey scottie my slip reads like this: 60' time is 1.913 5.555 8.648 80.047mph for 1/8 11.268 time for 1/8 and of course the et is 13.615 and mph was 101.122 The blanks next to the other times are there cuz our slips read I1,I2,I3 ect it doesn't read 60' or anything else.I richened up my feul mixture like i posted before and turned up the boost more like i posted i just finally got a chance to go to the track. It is running lean still i need bigger injectors do you have any or know where i can get some to fit the oem fuel rail?I put on the electric fan to cool the ic more but it ended up hurting me more than helping cuz it was taking so much power from the fuel pump it couldn't put out as much fuel as with it off.I met a nice guy at the track that was telling me about this thing used to make the alternator run full field at boost he said it was from the buick forum.He has a GN his self and was impressed with the performance of the zt.Do those things work?My alternator just sucks it's the stock one for the 76z and can't provide enough power so i'm planning for a better one.This winter i'm planning some stuff for the engine for upgrades and i should be able to get them by next summer and have them all installed.

I did it just got back from the track.Made my frist pass and i got to the booth to pick up my slip and hell yes i got a 13.61 @100mph on 110 octane keep in mind that the tires are still spinning of the line.I'll post the rest of it when i get time.I'm adjusting the valve lash and changing the oil so i don't have time now.
  19. Thanks again tim i'll check to see what i can find it's off to the track today if it still runs hot i'm going to back down the boost til i can find a better pump or bigger injectors.

The problem is the fuel pump i think.I checked the feul pressure under boost and it goes up at first then drops down from 55 psi to 40 psi.My question is get another better pump?Or bigger injectors?Where you running stock injectors?I can't afford the big injectors you have right now but what ones do you recommend that i can get like off of another car?If you only like the ones you got it will take a little bit before i can get those.Runs better with the AFM adjusted back where i had it just a little rich but still starving for fuel.

Scottie i didn't take it the wrong way i'm new at this so it will take some getting use to.I'm happy you guys take the time to help.The FPR i'm not worried about i have a couple of them so if this one is junk cuz of my ignorance then i'll get another and try again.Eventually i will get an adjustable one but for right now the prie is right for crushing one.Tim is helping a whole lot he explained alot over the phone today when i can do it hands on i learn alot more.The math thing gets me i'm not good at it you know square root and all that never thought i'd be using it in real life i should of payed more attention in school.Gonna have to ask the woman for a lesson she's a wiz at math.The reason i ask you guys is cuz you know so much and the info is priceless to me.When are you gonna break the 10's mark?I can't wait til i can get enough money to start getting into it for real none of this stock ecu crap all after market and done right.I have so many bills but i love my z so i keep working on it trying to get it as far as i can.Getting a raise soon and all the extra money is going tword the zt.Hell i'm only 23 and i have five cars all run in great shape and i'm paying for one i don't have it got repoed from my ex and i have to pay for it.I also have a house and alot of toys that i should get rid of too.Enough about my junk,I just need you guys to continue helping me with the whole turbo thing.Like i said before Thanks for helping so far.
  23. Ok i set the psi at 55 when i crushed it on the FRP i used a tank of air and crushed it little at a time and checked to point that the pressure was released.I'll check the fuel pressure with the referance hose off. Thanks tim for being patient.
  24. you lost me tim.At idle it was about 30psi or so i just crushed it and took it up to 55psi when the FPR is hooked up it's running 45psi at idle and 55psi at 15psi of boost.Should it be 60 psi at full boost?Won't it be the same at idle as under full boost with the referance hose disconnected?
  25. Under boost it's 55psi when it's idling it's 45psi.I cruched the stock one and i leaned the AFM so it would idle right.The it seemed slower but i'm not for sure.I really need an A/F mixture meter.I think tomorrow i'll read the voltage on the o2 sensor.
