  1. WAY OFF TOPIC! Currently I am unemployed, I've quit looking until after the holiday season. So I bought a Polaris 700 4x4 quad with a snow plow (praying for snow now) so I can generate some cash flow. (sold off a bunch of misc. stuff to buy the machine) My question is (if you have plowed with an ATV before) how much do you charge/how much should I charge for this service? I understand it's what the market will bear. I'm looking at driveways that are about 1000 +/- sqft. and perhaps small business. Also factored in has to be the amount of snow. One year it snowed 2 feet (in Arkansas!) so I know I wouldn't be able to clean that off until the melting started. Included in the service will be an application of snow/ice melt after the initial cleaning, looking at doing that so I can charge for the "package" and not just push snow and have the property owner salt it themselves. Additionally I'm researching a pre snow melter that can be spray applied prior to the actual accumulation which makes it easier to remove (good for me). The pre application mixture is about $10/gallon buying it in a 30 gallon drum. One gallon covers 1,000 sqft. (I'm also looking a any available pickle juice from local restaurant's for a melting agent, wouldn't that make your driveway smell good!) The pre treatment would be only for residential customers in my surrounding neighborhoods that I can get to them quickly prior to the "storm". So what does the community think? Currently I live in a neighborhood that has 200 homes with adjacent neighborhoods numbering the same. The "upidityup" neighborhood that borders mine (read house hold income greater than $150,000 and homes costing $475K+(remember ARKANSAS, that's a lot of money) have long driveways. I have close to NO competition (and experience) unless the larger homes have big plow trucks come in and I've never seen an ATV plow around here in the 15 years I've lived here. Your help and thoughts are appreciated.
  2. In your initial post you said LPG "hidden" in the spare tire well. What would the fine be for getting caught with that? Just wondering, would it involve jail time? I was stationed in Germany for 2 years back in 90. I had an 86 trans am, I put some aftermarket exhaust on the car and the TUV went nuts, had to explain to them the exhaust tips sticking out slightly past the rear bottom of the bumper was how the system was designed. They let it "slide" because I was PCS in 4 months.
  3. Swap shells per Tony. Totaled means different things between you and you dream car. Fix the front end with new frame rails, pick up a gnose (I recommend Brian at Zcar customs. (zccjdm.com)(yeah Brian I just plugged you Put it back to where it belongs, if not I'd be interested in parts. Not that I want you to go that route obviously. My father always told me "mechanical things can be fixed". How true. I should put that in my profile. (shout out to dad who gets discussed when the lawn mower breaks down....he's 84 and still cuts his own grass with a push mower 1/2 acre and it isn't flat! (Crazy old man wish I lived closer
  4. ^^^ Amen! But I don't know if I'm going to keep her, other interests. Sure I'll regret it down the road. But then again maybe put it in cold storage and wait another 10-15 years, The cars will be darn near extinct by then except for the occasional barn find and restored cars. Just my thoughts.
  5. Easy, start here...then, oh while I'm at it.....$$,$$$ 3
  6. It's ok, not my taste. Now a 67 GTO, chevelle, olds cutless different story.
  7. You want datsun or aftermarket. I've got an after market one. Believe it has return.
  8. Here are some updated pictures. The car runs and moves but I have yet to drive it except for about 50 yards then on to the trailer. If some pics are duplicated or earlier picturess (in primer car) I do apologize.
  9. I think I have a link to somebody that has plenty of them forsale. You'll have to have is shopped but come on, better than a rust bucket.
  10. Concering the cage. Measure measure measure. I've got an auto power roll bar and at 6'2" it doesn't allow me to move the seat back far enough to allow me to be comfortable. This is with Sparco seats. May have to ditch the bar Another fellow Z car guy that lived down the street from me did the same thing but did a welded cage in a show car. He was very uncomfortable in the car also. So, save yourself the grief if you're over 6'. And again measure. I would mount a seat in the car WITH the dash board and steering wheel in place before building the cage.
  11. Can you give me a pic? I could probably have a new key made for it. Email Dsommer479@yahoo.com
  12. I actually need the entire assembly with lock and key. Zentech, I cannot send you messages. Do you have an email?
  13. Need the lower part that bolts to the body. 1973 240z Thanks!
  14. I had new floor pans put in my car and the original seat risers where not replaced. I had them put 1X1 square tubing in the floor for the seat risers. I belive these are in the wrong positions (too far forward). Can anybody provide me a measurement from the firewall or any point of the interior to one of the risers and the distance between the two risers. This has become a real pain as I don't want to drill 4-8 holes in my new floor pans to get the correct seat fitment. Thank you!!! David
  15. I'm installing a set of Sparco seats in my car (older model R-100?) The car has new pans rails etc. Gone are the old seat perches. The shop put in 1" tunnel to door supports which make the seat TOO low and they sit too far forward (I'm 6'2" and banging my knees on the steering wheel. I'm going to put 2" square tubing in as new mounts, moving them back but first put the autopower roll bar in. By eyeballing is, it doesn't look like it's all going to fit, but only one way to find out. I'll keep you posted
  16. Vince, car comes home tomorrow, needs interior completed and "other" areas but a boat load of pics on the way. I just hope this pics show off what this car really looks like. The gunmetal paint on the car is not really that profound in the pics I've taken. Probably need to call my father in law to come take some pics for me.
  17. Wish I would have gone LS, that install is SO clean. Nice car!
  18. Got one here in Arkansas.....let me know if interested.
  19. Nice car, why sell it? You can change the wheels ya know Looks like it has a pro charger down low on the drivers side. Also, start the thing, we'd love to hear it!!!
  20. bump! Can't post pics at this time (don't know why???) I'll get some posted ASAP. The car is now running, sounds bad a$$. Ran into some issues. 1. Holley EFI, ECU was dead, so no EFI on this one. Went with an Edelbrock 750 electric choke, the ole "go to carb" works flawless. 2. MSD E-Curve distributor. Worked for a moment of sputter then nothing, not a damn spark after trouble shooting it. I'm goig to ship it to MSD for repair so its to be determined. 3. KEVKO oil pan, this one is JUNK!!!!! Bolt holes are too close to the side of the pan and cannot be tightened resulting in a massive oil leak. I'd NEVER recommend these pans to anybody. As I said pics coming soon!
