  1. I had the opportunity to see #76 a few years ago. Amazing restoration down to the smallest details. I'm no "purist" but can apperciate a well done restoration.
  2. I'm looking for the chrome strip that the squeegee is attached to, rubber squeegee condition doesn't matter as long as the chrome is in good shape. This is for a 73 240z drivers door. I lost mine during the rebuild Thanks PM me please. David
  3. Yeah the price is a bit high for the condition. I didn't know about the transmission issue (like he would mention it?) 6-7K I feel that is too much, I'd be in at like $5K-$5500K due to the mention of the rust. Shipping, a buddy of mine does it on the side, give me your zipcode and I'll see what he would charge if you are seriously interested. Also I can check out the car.
  4. Check Fayetteville Arkansas Craig's list there are two for sale there. ZX with LS http://fayar.craigslist.org/cto/4539424863.html 280 LS1 T56 http://fayar.craigslist.org/cto/4537563131.html I could check them out for you if you'd like.
  5. I'm with John on this one, the restored cars are becoming more pricy and the bone stock originals are bringing some good money. Remember the fellow that documented his S30 with the SR20 engine, all the suspension goodies from AZZC, super clean to begin with. He was asking $100K initially? Then there was Taz240Z.V-8, his car sold for 36K. One of the problems is parts availability, (all prices are what I estimates) new tail lights if you can find them are around $800, clear front lenses $250, fender mirrors $350, door panels $800, interior plastics (available $450) straighten out a front and rear bumper and rechrome it $$$. I mean everything on these cars (NOS parts) are going through the roof due to little aftermarket support. I do appreciate you folks that are making parts, don't get me wrong. It's not like a first gen Camaro, you can buy every part to include a body. That's crazy!
  6. What year Sportage? Any body have pics of the install?
  7. As the title says. Rear adjustable control arms. PM me if you have a set for sale. Thank you. David
  8. A fellow in Siloam Springs AR has the fenders you need. I don't know if he'd ship though.
  9. http://www.zccjdm.com/ Check out my "build" in members projects think its on page 2
  10. Not a bad idea to run on a high compression engine. I was going to run a snow performance system on my car but with 11:1 compression and aluminum heads. I sold the kit. Money can be spent in other areas.
  11. Shorter spring? That's why Hybridz has ALWAYS been my "go to" source. I've dreamed about getting this close for a long time. Been a member here since Y2K, and earlier when it was v8zcars.com (think that's what it was). Thanks for the input, sound like an easier option IMO as I'd rather not cut, weld and repaint two struts.
  12. The wheel gap bothers the hell out of me and that's at the lowest adjustment on the coil over (tire is a 245/40/17), guess I'll have to do a "do over" on the perches (sucks!) and repaint every thing sucks even harder. Thought about cutting a little off the spring but a coil over spring is different from what I can see, plus that wouldn't really be "right" now would it.
  13. Am I getting it right? Please share your opinion if the 2 cars are going to look similar. My inspiration: My project, very dusty and incomplete (My wheels look hideous!) . Granted the wheels are not the same but I do have the gnose head light covers and fender mirrors. My grey is a bit darker than it appears, I also have clear turn signal lenses for the front and of course...A SBC 383 So what says the Hybridz nation? Yes, No opinions? Thanks, David
  14. This is as low as the suspension will go looks like I'll have to lower the spring perch on the fronts, great. Rear, needs to come up some.
  15. Too many were made but too many rusted away, the 240's. The e-bay car, I would be guessing he is trying to appeal to the overseas market due to the line "will export" Figure I sold the Scarab to a fellow in Norway where Z's are scarce and our USD doesn't scare off the individuals that are "better off" than most of the population. This includes the remainder of Europe, Saudi Arabia, not so much in Mexico or South America, there are a LOT of eyes on Ebay, and it is one of the best outlets to market your car. So is his price out of line? Perhaps but if it is as clean an straight as he claims then it would probably be around a 12K car. Remember us Z car guys are cheap skates
  16. In progress but will be clean but over your budget, show this to whom ever your trying to sell or export the car to (due to it's not going to be yours anyway) and see if they are interested. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/63391-resurection-now-becoming-1tufzg-z/
  17. I know a guy down here in Rogers, AR that has a Z for sale. It's a 280 that is a V-8 already. I'm not sure of his price but I think it would be in your price range. PM me for his numbers, title it Ron with Z so I can find it in my phone.

  19. wfritts911 and RebekahsZ You guys are snapping axels with LS engines if I am correct. Guess you should start putting a kit together for me. 383 stroker with 100 shot. Will you're in Little Rock right?
  20. I've noticed that when a buyer with 1 feedback is a fisher, trying to discover the reserve price then backs out and says something like my computer and account were hacked. BS!!!
  21. ...I can say I've never really noticed that as I've never seen that badging, more over I'm sure they are difficult to source. Either way the holes were in the fenders where the Datsun emblems so they naturally lined up with no drilling. I've tried to source as many OEM/NOS parts for the car as possible. Head light covers, new in the box Tail lights Door panels Review mirror Fender mirrors Clear front signal covers not on car as of today Reman interior panels from the company that restored the factory 240's back when. as you can see I have a LOT of time and money wrapped up in this car. As you say they are. Of the correct emblems, the funds are running low and I'm just plain tired of parts hunting.
