I was thinking the same thing the first time I saw the Scaglietti. If the new Z looked anything like that I would be driving one right now. Front engine V12 would be nice in a Z too I think a regular S15 Silvia looks a lot better than the red kit car.

I've been using my car as a daily driver since I got it. My commute is only 20 min so I can live without the creature comforts of a modern car. My wife disagrees with me on the Z being a reliable daily driver though. Being a 30+ year old car not fully restored, there are bound to be minor repairs that need to be done. Since I don't have a garage right now some repairs take longer than they should and that makes the car un-reliable to her. So like FL327 said, I have to tune the car conservativley and resist turning up the boost or I'll never hear the end of it if I blow the motor

I felt it all the way up here in San Jose. I just woke up and it got me a little sea sick.

I looked at those but with the +30 offset it just dosen't have enough dish. It would still look good on a Z though.

Congratulations on the good numbers. Stoic is 14.7:1 so 13:1 isn't too bad. I think 12.5:1 is what most people shoot for.

They took that car out at laguna seca and the driver spun it The Bugatti people must have wet their pants when they saw that happen. W16 quad turbo is pretty awsome though.

Are you using any type of boost controller? If you are it's probably the pop off valve not allowing anything more than 10psi.

I would go with PS2 just for GT4. You could mod the XBOX though to play copied games straight from your hard drive and store movies, mp3s, old arcade games, etc.

At the time I installed it, I did not realize there was a 9 bolt and a 6 bolt version. I guess I just didn't use the extra bolts cause I didn't do anything special to the flywheel. The pins lined up perfectly. That's what I need to check next. That might be it because there are no weird noises coming from the tranny. Is there a way to check the fork without dropping the tranny?

I'm interested in the correct answer to this also. I used the truck 240mm flywheel with ACT clutch kit for the 280zx turbo on a NA tranny. I used the ZX fork and every thing was working fine until recently. When the car is running, I can't get it in gear. Changed the MC and slave but it didn't help any.

I've thought about this too. All the reasons mentioned are true but probably the main reason is there just not a lot of them out there. I see 1 or 2 for sale every 6 months or so but either the work is questionable or is very good and the owner wants high dollar for it. I felt pretty lucky when I bought my turbo 240. The car was just a few blocks from my work and when I saw the car I was pretty confident it was a solid conversion. Saved me the time and effort of doing the swap myself.

I had dual supertraps on my old Z. The big @ss ones. Sounded nice and deep. Fit nicely too.

Congratulations Davy Are they gonna put new drip rails on the roof like some modern cars? I'm interested to see how it comes out cause I'm thinking about body work next year. If the price is right maybe I can take it to the same place.

I'm thinking about swapping my stock clutch master cylinder that crapped out with a Tilton or Wilwood 7/8" unit. I'm running an ACT clutch and pressure plate on a L28 turbo. Clutch pedal is adjusted all the way up and is a little heavy causing the firewall to flex so I'm trying to relieve that a little bit. My question is what is involved in connecting the stock clutch line to the Tilton MC? This is on a '71 240Z.
