  1. I guess I need to get more information from him. He didn't mention anything about the field tests. They must have arrested him based on his driving but if you have ever rode in a car with him you'll know he's not the best driver on the road even when 100% sober.
  2. My brother got arrested for DUI last week. The legal BAC in CA is .08 I believe. His highest breath test was .05. This was his first offense. Can he get this thrown out? If so, what is the best way to go about it?
  3. Pick up a interviewing book from the bookstore and you'll be fine. There should be info on negotiating salary in there too. I interviewed with northrup grumman in Sunnyvale for test engineer when I was graduating. They offered me somewhere around 50K to start. This was almost 3 years ago so that should give you some idea what they might offer.
  4. Guiness is the best when I'm really thirsty. I also like Newcastle, Killians, Red Stripe, and Kirin but I usually buy Heineken, Fosters, or Gorden Beirsh Marzen cause they're always on sale. Gorden Beirch brews their beer across the street from me. Love the smell when I come home.
  5. Heres a picture. It's a little dark but you can get an idea how it looks.
  6. To me, the most important attributes is, is it fun to drive and does it put a smile on your face everytime you drive it. Power, handling, braking all fall under this attribute. If it doesn't have enough power and doesn't handle well it's not gonna give me that silly grin on my face. Everything else is secondary but still important. It has to look good (although I would trade some quirkyness for performance anyday i.e. WRX), be comfortable enough to drive everyday, and be reliable. It should also have some personal touches that reflect your taste like custom wheels, seats, ect. so the car is like an extension of you.
  7. There's a guy who did an S2000 motor swap into a 510. That sounds like a fun ride. As for the VQ35, turbonetics just released a single turbo kit for it. Should be cheaper than the greddy twin turbo setup.
  8. I guess it depends on what you plan on using each car for. You can easily build a reliable turbo 240Z for under $5000 but you probably will end up driving it more than the S2000. If it were me I would sell the S2K and build the 240Z.
  9. It will not clear the front spring perch. I have 15x7 (+15) Watanabe RS-8s with 225/50-15 Yokohama AVS ES100s. They fit on the rear but not the fronts. This was on a '71 240Z. My Wats with 25mm spacers are for sale BTW if you are interested. http://www.craigslist.org/sby/car/54441313.html
  10. I'm in a similar situation so don't feel too bad. At least you still have your Z. I ended up selling my turbo 240Z and my wifes 240sx after moving into our new house. No kids yet but that can change fairly quickly. Mainly one income while my wife is still in school and a huge mortgage changes priorites a little. I had big dreams for the Z after finally getting my own garage but I decided to wait it out until I cash out my equity next year (value went up 50K before I even moved in). We have a R50 pathfinder now and I'm very close to getting a set of mud tires for it to keep me occupied.
  11. We are getting a 46" HDTV from the money I won from Poker Stars!!! "all you can eat baby" -Men the Master
  12. The new Grassroot Motorsports issue has Adam Carolla's (the man show) 510 featured. Theres a nice 240Z in the issue also.
  13. I'm next in line if Aux dosen't buy it off you Seriously though. I think it depends if you are willing to deal with some custom fabrication to get the SR20det in there. You have to factor in those costs. L28et is a bolt in.
  14. I always thought capoeira was cool but more for show or like a dance. Isn't that how it started? Get that guy on the ground and you can rough him up. Problem is getting him on the ground
  15. Nice last run Len You're making me miss my turbo S30.
  16. good stuff....nobody f's with the Jesus
  17. I remember dealing with jmead in the past through zcrap.com. I sent him a cashiers check and after he did not responding to a bunch of emails to verify he was going to send the item, I cancelled the cashiers check before it was cashed. I don't know if he got the emails or not. I just didn't feel comfortable with the transaction.
  18. Sweet Don. Looks like that could keep you busy for a while
  19. Same thing happened to me with the ACT pp. The pivot didn't go through the fork but it was cracked pretty bad.
  20. I'll post it in the classifieds by next week if I decide to sell them. I'm 95% sure I'll sell them though cause I just sold my Z
  21. I was rolling on 15x7 Watanabe RS-8s. These will be up for sale soon.
  22. I know. I've been fighting it for the past two months but I have other priorities right now. My house is basically bare and I don't want to dip into the savings to pay for things. I still have a spare motor that I may try and build slowly and eventually drop into another Z down the road.
  23. Hated to do it but I put my 71 turbo for sale . Check out the add here http://hybridz.org/nuke/modules.php?op=modload&name=zClassifieds&file=detail&cat=53&de=764
  24. Look at Mark Weber checking her out....
