  1. I have ordered from VB and MSA, and both have taken very good care of my orders. After ordering I have the parts in a couple of weeks here in Finland
  2. Ok, thanks guys So, it doesen't matter from which one I order them from.
  3. Ok, maybe this was a stupid question What I meant is that is there any differences regarding the installation of the covers Do the both requiry drilling or is there any other way to install them?
  4. I tried the search-function but didn't find the answer for my question. Is there any differences between MSA and VB headlight covers for the 240Z?
  5. Here is a pic of my wheels. Don't know much about them. It reads Graku Comp on them and they are 3-piece rims with 225/50/15 and 265/50/15 tires on. If anyone knows about Graku Comps, please let me know http://www.dnsf.org/images/motopark220902/ratapaiva/pages/430.htm
  6. Has anyone tried to put a ceramic paint on the headers? There is a ceramic paint called Black Satin. Costs here in Finland about $100. I have been thinking that I will paint the headers with this stuff instead of using Thermo-Tec wrappers.
  7. You are right icice9, that color rulez What might the color-code be for Eleanor?
  8. Hey guys, need some help deciding the new color for my car. At the moment it's black, and I thought that I would respray it with black again. Now I have been thinking of other options like Skyline Gunmetal Grey. Does anybody have pics of a Z with that color and is the paint hard to find? Do you have any other suggestions? The color should be dark, so no red or yellow colors for this car.
  9. Just had to put something here Yesterday I went to the garage where my Z has been the whole winter. Had some serious trouble last year with the driveshaft and the car did "shake" when the speedometer showed more than 60 mph. Well, the driveshaft was fixed and I took a test drive. And man, what a difference!!! Driving the car was so smoooooth, no shaking at all! Man, the sun was shining and the V8 worked as it should. Had to show some of its potential to a turbo Volvo (ok, I know that it is not like a Porche or something but anyway... ) and he didn't have a chance to keep up with me. Just waiting for the summer 8)
  10. I agree with SPIIRIT. I had the same problem as you and I rewired the headlight. No headlight-problems after that

    T5 +289

It looks like I can't drop the engine anymore. I will take some pictures of the mounting and put them here. Haven't made the mounting-pieces myself (someone had swapped the engine before I bought my Z). But option 2, raising the diff, could solve the problem. I have to check this option when I get under the car again.

    T5 +289

During this winter there has been some problems solved on my Z. The drivetrain-part starts to look better, but there is some issues still to solve. The main problem at the moment is that I should lift the T5 a bit so the drivshaft angle would be as good as possible. The problem is that there ain't space anymore between the transmission-tunnel and the gearbox Should I just cut the tunnel to get more space? Well, I'll drive it this summer as it is, but next winter I will start to work on it again.

    Air dam ideas

That airdam is really nice, and I think I will try to build something similar on my Z. Do you have more pictures of the car?
  14. Yes, it's a great looking car!!! Thomas, any chance that the owner of the car would be selling the Z in the near future?
  15. Well, I would definitly pump out the old fuel and put some new gas in the tank. I don't think it's wise to try to use old fuel with water in it. But I can't say if that is the problem not getting the car started...
  16. A really cool car If I would not have a Z then I would have some sort of Mustang. BTW, how hard is it to find a car like Joes GT500 in the U.S. and how much do they usually cost? Pretty much I suppose
  17. Man, if I had the money I would order right away Thanks Mike for your efforts Hope you get your car and house ready soon
  18. I would also guess that the problem has something to do with low voltage. My brother had exactly the same problem with his 280ZX. The source to the problem was a melted and old wire going to the alternator. We put in som new wires and now it works fine. Also the headlights did not work properly at the time.
  19. Overall width on the rims are 26 cm (about 10 inches) and I calculated the ET to be about -30. Inside Middle Outside 10 cm 2,5 cm 13,5 cm Hope this helps.
  20. I have 265/15 rear-decks, and have flares that are almoust the same as the MSA IMSA-flares. 275 would not fit under, but then again I havent exactly the same flares... Pic BTW, I have real big troubles to get tyres of this size here in Europe. I know that Dunlop makes 265/50/15 but they do not sell Dunlop here Probably much easier to find them in the U.S.
  21. Nice pages. I have been following those pages almoust a year now and there haven't been almoust any updates It would be interesting to know if the guy has continued the work on his hybrid.
