  1. OK...I got my car from the bodyshop at 10pm last night and have been working on since...... My bad!!!
  2. AND....you have '10' block (look at the last two numbers of the casting number), which means it's the high nickel block, which were/are proported to be much stronger than the newer ones... HP=likely not much....but you have a good platform to start with... Tim
  3. This post is useless with pictures!!!!
  4. I left the cowl as is, and cut little 'coupons' of sheetmetal to fit and welded in....(this was for the wiper arm holes) For the vents, I cut out a square (around the vents) and welded in another piece (s) Tim
  5. You are correct. The front and rear ones will always be two bolt...the three center ones can be 2 or 4.... Tim
  6. Is your fan running when you are at speed? It could actually be hampering air flow if it is.... Tim
  7. 2 bolt mains What you are looking at are the # of bolts that hold the caps in place which hold the crank in place. You have two per cap, some have 4. Tim
  8. I had that same fender rot.....but if you close those drains, then you will get rot under the cowl.
  9. Don't do it....just trust me on this...... This is what you mean, isn't it?: I would recommend against it!! That part is thin, difficult to sand, and warps EASILY!!!
  10. Well...having being stopped in both my cars (240Z and Z28) for no front plate.....fight it and hard...the cops will be able to use it as an excuse to pull you over.... Tim
  11. Bryan: I-5 S to Katella exit. Head east on Katella to Main Street. Right (south) on main to Collins
  12. You BLOCKED OFF the overflow outlet!!!! No No No!!! If anything, just put on a 3 foot length of tubing so that it pukes on the ground, not on the engine....
  13. Looks like Alex's gift is gonna be working overtime!!! :malebitchslap:
  14. Good, thank Alex, I was wondering what I was going to use to :malebitchslap: you with!!!
  15. Don't be a sissy. Drive the damn car. I seem to remember someone else crying about not wanting to take their car to the show.....Hmmmmm......who was that anyway? Hell I don't know.......
  16. Moved topic to correct forum. Could be the oil pressure sender, they are known to go bad. L-series oil pumps are pretty reliable, so..... get yourself a mechanical oil pressure gauge to check the oil pressure. My $$ is on the sender.... Tim
  17. I know the answer, but I am certain that this is YOUR homework assignment, and I refuse to do your homework for you!
  18. Cheap paint will do that to you,but then think about how much more stressed you'd be if you spent $1500 on a paint job...... It's only a car dude......drive it and enjoy......sometimes I wish mine were not as nice....you think YOU are paranoid!!!
  19. Don't be a sissy. Drive the damn car. Besides, just leave early...it will be cool out and besides, the weather report is saying a cool down for Sunday, low 70s everywhere. Come on out, esp. if you've never been. BTW, a few of us are arriving early (06h00) and heading out for breakfast. You're welcome to tag along.
  20. For OEM yes, but at least with the Speedway shafts, they are fully hardened!
