  1. http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=24170 and.. http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=search Oh and welcome!
  2. To confuse and Irishman: Stand 3 shovels against a fence and tell him to take his pick..... Put him in a round room and tell him to stand in the corner..... Give him a pack of M n M's and tell him to put them in alphabetical order.....
  3. I had a 83 ZXT with the digital dash and absolutely hated it!! Even after months of driving it, it took more than just a quick glance to register what the damn things were reading......Sorry, no idea on the compatability, although when I was toying with changing to analogue, I remember folks saying it was a direct swap, so it's possible..... Tim
  4. Weld em up!!! Most autoparts places carry them in the "Help" brand section.... Tim
  5. Some good tips: 1. (obligatory statement): Use the search function...top of the page. You WILL find an answer to EVERY question you may have. 2. Buy the conversion manual from http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Datsun_Z_V-8.html 3. Don't be in a hurry to buy your engine/drivetrain. Very good deals come up from time to time in the local papers/classifieds and once in a while on Ebay 4. Make a plan of attack, and stick to it. Most of us, me definitely included, get bogged down in "while I'm at it, I might as well do....." 5. You can almost always buy a completed conversion for less than it will cost to build your own. Sometimes though you end up spending $$$$ fixing the shortcuts that the previous owner made, but no always. 6. Build your own vs. buy completed: Depends on whether you want the "I built it myself" bragging rights, which to me is more important than the car itself....I do it for the pleasure of the work, not for the completed product....to me the satifaction of completion is fleeting, it's the satisfaction of the work for me, as this will attest to: http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=33497&highlight=
  6. Driving is secondary.....wrenching is the most fun.....It does go like a bat-outta-hell.....
  7. Looking to do something different, and although I'm still in the planning/thinking phases, I may be selling out my entire LT1/T-56 combo from radiator to gearbox, including all mounts, clutch hydraulics, radiator (and upper and lower mounts), hoses, belts, wiring, headers ect.....basically all that would be needed would be connect up fuel, 6 or so wires and drive off....... I haven't 100% decided on what to put in yet, but I am down to 2 or 3 different options....just for something new to do...a new challenge..... For those who I have mentioned this to in person....shhhhh! I will eventually post something in the classifieds with a list of all the new parts and upgrades to the engine (very numerous).......
  8. Do not buy from Showcars...their products and service are really bad....search on it and find the rants.... Tim
  9. He shouldn't charge anything for the mount...he has to drop everything anyways!!!
  10. Looks great!! and only after 1 year!!!
  11. Hmmm...I see the weak link in that conversion.....Opticrap!
  12. Alex, I wouldn't have thought you would be comfortable lending out your "PJs".......
  13. Kudos to Van for making the show, after being a "non-starter" on Saturday night!!!! Take care of yourself, Bro!!!
  14. Six Sigma is the top section of distribution of the statistical bell shaped curve...generally referring to product reliability. I believe that Motorolla was the first Six Sigma Company.....
  15. Just don't get the "Jim Sauce" on your burger. I don't know if I really want to know about that....esp. coming from John! (uh..no pun intended at all)
  16. Again...the search function is your friend here! Try http://www.reactionresearch.com/automotivedetails.htm for starters....
  17. Yup...the holley red will not overpower the needle and seat in your carb. How you have described above should be adequate. Tim
  18. Do a search using the key words: Spirit Garage. Bottom line...all custom Japanese stuff...
  19. oops....Lee you've given away your secret yard...now you won't be able to find anything there!!
  20. Well, I got the best prize of all!!! Full interview with me and 'Da Goose' for the TV show "Life in the fast lane - with Steve Natt" Way cool....me and Da Goose are TV stars....I even had my sharpie ready for autographs, but I guess everyone was too star struck in my presence to actually ask for one (BTW....Stan....beers on me next time, dude!!) http://www.fineliving.com/fine/life_fast_lane/
  21. I actually liked being there. Nice shady tree (it was hot as hell!!), and away from the REALLY crappy DJ.....also the middle of the block tends to be a complete zoo.....plus....the show should probably be renamed to include "GroupZ".......leave it at that!
  22. Dan, I'll need to look at my receipt, but I ordered online and that part number was good.....(at least as far as I remember!)
