No, LT1 type heads will need to be used. You can convert the LT1 intake to run a rear mount dizzy... If you are planning to build it with older type parts, you will be better off starting with an older block...... There is nothing special about the LT1 block... Tim

All Hail!! and bow for a moment of silence

Pretty damned rude that you link over to your forum from here only to advertise links to Zcar.com and Z31.com on your little forum!

Bryan...you are farting against thunder here....what ever used cheap ass POS you end up buying is not going to free of defects, just new ones that you don't know about....Ever heard of "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"? I'm not trying to convince you either way....I can certainly understand your frustration....really I do....but don't expect to buy something cheap and not have maintenence issues...... If you need help with the Z, let me know. I've extended the offer before....I'm not gonna nag you.... Tim

eh? not sure I get you? Get one and installed? Where? And anyways bro I'm sitting here sweating a near $1000 bill on fixing a leaky tranny and replacing a clutch... I can barely afford to keep this car running' date=' how the heck could I afford to swap in a whole nuther drivetrain now??? Tim, trust me... I respect your oppinion more than most, and if I COULD swap out this drivetrain trust me I would not hesitate... I'm just OUT of MONEY bro, plain and simple.[/quote'] http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=33497&highlight=

De Ja Vu all over again

I have driven a Shamrock Cobra with a 454/TH400 with NAWZ... Hellava blast to drive, but if driven hard, it's a handfull and the driver has better know what they're doing!! To me Cobra kits are common place. A GT-40 kit or a Detomaso Pantera would be much much nicer!! Tim

All I can say is DAMN!!!! Gotta love big cubes!! Kudos man for not listening to the naysayers!!

Taking a new direction...possibly

Damnit!! Who spilled the beans!!! Unfortunately I won't be able to afford the turbo version, though!! -
These are important issues like who supplies beer, and who types up an agenda. Is there more to it than that? Liability releases!!

Nah...that's been done! -
This is going to be exciting and fun. Our inaugural showing as a club (albeit a small one for now) will be at the ZCCA convention in June. Club banner, window decals, and membership cards are in the works. Van (Two40MuscleZ) has already begun to secure very good discounting from vendors. SoCal guys you now have a place to call home (club wise)....... Let's make a good run at it!!! Tim

Now I've little choice but to drive it, loose crank or no

You can replace the bearings with the motor in the car....It's not as easy obviously, but very do-able... -
Mike, Speedway is more local and the shafts are not that expensive, but as you say, they will NEVER need to be replaced....it's the same material and craftsmanship as the NASCAR boys are using...and how often do they break axles....NEVER!!! Tim
