  1. As soon as I get my shafts from speedway. I was hoping to get them today, but they didn't get back from heat treating Tim
  2. Mark, No haven't tackled that, mainly because I think that a machining solution is overkill. Like you, I pan to just put a simple stop on the inboard side. Tim

    GM Rear End?

Yeah, do a search!! (sorry, had to do it!)
  4. Mine is out of a Q45, but the 300TT also has them. OEM Viscous LSD. Very Strong!! Tim
  5. Scottie, My machinist is making (and selling) the adapters for the companion flange to CV (MAS280 has bought two sets---for two cars). Speedway Engineering is making my new shafts (last thing my car is waiting for to get on the road!!). I had a driveshaft made by Cannon engineering using the donor driveshaft out of the Z28 (T56) and replaceable U-joints. I posted the part numbers in the drivetrain forum. The only thing left to do (for someone doing the swap) is the front mount and have the R200 Mustache bar redrilled. http://www.1speedway.com/main.htm http://www.cannonengineering.com/ Tim
  6. Looks pretty sweet, but pleeeeeze get rid of the home depot cold air intake . NICE work!! Tim
  7. $150 The motor will need accessories and harness and PCM, but the intake, injectors and TB is all there. Try some of the caprice sites for specs.
  8. Unless, of course, you happen to live in SoCal Tim
  9. I have a complete 4.3 LT1 if you like. Tim
  10. HOLY SH!T, Dan....that's a hell of an avatar
  11. I'm not a CA native, so this whole earthquake thing is really strange to me!! Feels kinda like being in a train carriage while it's rolling/swaying down the tracks....most strange....also kinda wierd not being able to trust good ol' 'terra firma'.....or in this case: 'terra non-firma'! Tim
  12. Moved from the site support forum (again). John, the site support forum is for issues and questions related to the web site, not vehicle related issues. Tim
  13. No details yet on the size, but my building at work (on rollers) shook for a good 20 seconds. OH just heard it was 6-6.5 on the richter scale, centered in San Simeon, CA. Very unsettling to say the least. I feel 'sea sick' now. http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/latest.htm Tim
  14. They must be bringing them back, though....the population of them doesn't seem to be deminishing Tim
  15. Set up by Jimzdat, just posting here as a sticky so that it's easier to find: http://hybridz.jimzdat.com/forum/ Tim
  16. All the more reason to shoot them all!! (all tongue in cheek, Mike ) Tim
  17. It's more than likely the gearbox not coming apart because its not perfectly straight. The two should basically 'fall' apart. Try this: Lift the engine and gearbox to about 12 inches off the ground (make sure the bellhousing bolts are in and tight!!). Put a couple of blocks of wood (enough that the oil pan is off the ground and everything level) under the gearbox, front and back. Lower the hoist so that the gearbox is resting on the wood, but the engine is hanging. Now loosen the bellhousing bolts and try to seperate. It shoud be easy to do if the gearbox input shaft is straight (in alignment with the splines on the clutch plate) If it does not seperate, lift and or lower the engine in very small increments until it does. Tim
  18. That's exactly why I always carry a M16, flame thrower and a couple of grenandes with me everywhere I go.....and people think I'm nuts Tim
  19. Bryan, I have a buffer. I am not going to do a thing to your car, but you are welcome to borrow it. Tim
