  1. Here you go: $200 http://www.up22.com/falcongto.htm#Datsun%20Z
  2. If not vented properly, the 'plastic' cells can balloon and/or collapse/deform. My Dad (who has been racing for longer than I've been alive), has used them for years and I specifically asked if he had ever had a problem with them. He has never had one fail or deform. He did mention that they must be vented properly though. Here is the latest pic I have (2 years ago): Tim
  3. Terry, the weather has been terrible (for California standards). Overcast and rainy. As soon as we get a nice day, I will snap some pics. Thanks for the kind words guys!! 8) Tim
  4. As soon as the rears are complete...he will start on the fronts. I have already given him some oem fronts. Tim
  5. Cool.... another potential helper on the farm!! Congrats!! Tim
  6. Well, I installed the tinted lexan lenses, and installed the tail lights (after cutting the lenses off of perfectly good tail lights ). It came out quite nicely. All of the lights are completely wired....finally! For the front, I used a pair of firebird (mid 80's I think) front turn signals and fabbed some mounts for them. They run both turn signals and indicator lights. Looks pretty slick too. The light housings are nice and low profile...... Here are a couple of pics...1 with flash, and 1 with flash turned off on the camera: Tim
  7. If there is a very long HT link in the post, that will also make the screen too wide. I use IE and Netscape 6.1, and there doesn't appear to be a setting in either on to force screen width. Tim
  8. Jeff, it will make more sense when you see the completed units. The picture above, the loose piece next to the control arm is the final outer piece and will replece the one that is connected now. (found an easier and more efficient way to machine the piece). There will be 2 sets of adjustments. Toe (and some camber) on the offset bushings, and camber adjustment on the outer section. These units were made with safety/strength in mind as the primary design factor. (all calculations for moment of bending and stress points have been done) I will post pictures of the final version early next week, and will post some pics after they are installed on my car. I will also be taking my car the the alignment shop, so I can report the ease of setup. I was an alignment tech (a very good one at that.....articles in trade mags etc blah blah blah), and the shop that I go to lets me do my own set up.....more to come. Tim
  9. I must have gotten lucky. My MSA covers fit pretty nicely Tim
  10. Maybe you guys have already used this product, but I just got it and it's great!! It's a canister of silicone sealant that's pressurized. kind of a smaller version of a calking canister that you would use with a caulking gun. Got it at Pep Boys. little more expensive than the regular tubes, but WOW, so worth it. It's called "McKanica" power can. Has a little trigger and you get infinte control of the speed of sealant release...perfect round bead everytime. I found thier website: http://www.mckanica.com/index.html Tim
  11. As soon as the prototypes are proven, then they will be for sale. Your choice of steel, Chromoly, or stainless. Tim
  12. I gave my machinist a control arm(stock datsun oem), and left it at that. He has designed many different suspensions for mini Mods, etc, so i know he knows what he's doing. The only issue I have with him is that he tends to over engineer (safety) things, and he is such a damned perfectionist. He has also done welding for the Government, so his welding is impecable. This is the same guy who makes the R230 adapters, the TB adapter (240sx), and has made many other things for my car(s). Here are some tasters. Keep in mind that these are not completed and are prototypes: What you can see is the jig and the new outer section (the first prototype is still bolted to the arm). It will have delron offset bushings and camber adjustment at the outer. Tim
  13. Also, keep in mind that the ones sold by MSA are not the greatest quality. It comes down to a lack of competition, I suppose. It takes a good deal of work to get them ready for paint. Even if someone were to make bumpers and sold them at about the same price, if the quality were better, they would sell!! Tim
  14. Last game system I owned was the Atari system with little cartriges (kinda like 8-tracks). I was the envy of all my friends! Now if I want a good driving experience, I just walk out to my driveway, jump in the the LT1 and go Tim
  15. Jeff....is that a LT1 sitting in the background?
  16. I'll be picking up the prototype pair from my machinist early next week. I'll post pics when I pick them up. Tim
  17. Grumpy, Bowtie overdrives here in California has a standalone module which works in conjunction with a cable (TV) to runt he 4L80E as a stand alone. It is programmable. http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/ They have some very nice products and great service. Here is their number: 760/947-5240 Tim
  18. heat soak in the engine. When switched off, no coolant is flowing, but the block is still plenty hot. This is normal. Tim
  19. Clean all the connectors and double check the ground wires that are attached to the body near the tail lights. Tim
  20. can't go wrong with buying from the General himself. Check out : http://www.sdpc2000.com/ Tim
  21. I'm no lawyer, but I think that negligence, or intent needs to be proven, but I think there are some legal savvy guys on the board, maybe they will chime in. Maybe change the subject header to more accurately reflect your question, and to draw in the appropriate audience? Tim
  22. Hate to say this, but I will anyway : I told you so.... and You get what you pay for..... Both cliche, I know, and of absolutely no help to you, but trueisms none the less...... Maybe they can bake it for you? Tim

Sounds like your question was answered as asked. Why the hostility? Not many on this board have running examples of MS. I have built the board, but not installed it. You tact is unecessarily confrontational, and you will likely not get many responses to your queries if it keeps up. Tim
