  1. Rufus, The engine uses the JTR kit. The purple bottle next to the radiator is the overflow bottle (Coolant) The one under the brake master is the front brake line lock......makes it easy to light up the rears at will (plus I have no emergency brake). Tim
  2. Get the factory service amnual from teh dealership. It is well worth the $$$$, and no LT1 conversion should be without it. Even now that my wiring is done, I refer to it all the time. It helps with diagnosing 'SES' trouble codes. Tim
  3. Thanks for all the well wishes guys!! I am hessitant to post any pics of the engine bay because there is still a lot to do ont he car. It is far from complete (if that is ever possible ). If y'all promise to remember that it's not finished, I will take some pics this afternoon....... Tim

  6. Here are some pics of the last day or so: (the car is dusty and the finish is not yet ready for washing). Still have lots of work to do, like lower the coilover perches on the front, finish the interior, make the grill (upper) etc...: Here are a few of my new control arms (in prototype state): And here she is: Tim
  7. What a rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Not so much because of the power, but more due to the culmination of almost 5 years of work!!!......and the 2 x 20 foot black lines in front of my house!!! I am now a full fledged member of the Hybrid Z club Tim
  8. Davy, When the gasket gets old and hard, you HAVE to cut it out. I tried to pull my windshield out a couple of years ago with the original gasket in place. Well, lets just say that I now have a brand new gasket and brand new windshield. Tim
  9. Terry, I made a stationary (as in pens and pencils) tray way back when in school. We used negative (suction ) pressure. I made the form out of wood. Layed the form on the machine, then layed a sheet of plastic down, heated the plastic to just the right amount (I remember that this took several attampts to get the timing right), then hit the vaccuum. Hope that helps. Tim
  10. I just installed my WS with a precision gasket. Seemed very easy. Obviously I don't have the same experience as Terry as I have not had to take it out. As long as the rubber is still soft, you can reuse the gasket as many times as you want. Tim
  11. The Holley 600 will be wayyy to big for the inline 6 application. Tim
  12. WOW...huge loss to the performance industry.....very smart guy!! Tim

My kid also made out like a bandit....lots of fire trucks and Rescue Hero stuff.....I didn't see him all day.....he was playing with his new loot Tim
  14. Nope... was washed out. Very high winds and heavy rain all day. I didn't even get to finish all the work on her. I'll have her out on Saturday for sure!! Tim
  15. U won't regret it, I'm sure!!! REmember, you have the board at your disposal, and I'm only a phone call away. Tim
  16. Well, you've gotten my 10c worth Go V8!!! Tim
  17. Yes they will all work. The fuel gauge will need a GM sender though. They are the correct size for the Z car conversion.
  18. All in All, about $700 with all the extra goodies, like rechargeable batteries and charger, etc. It is something that I need for work anyways, I need to be able to shoot short movies of project sites. Tim
  19. I talked my boss into letting me get a sony mavica....the one that writes to 3" CDs. It can take up 3 minutes of MPEG movies.....probably won't have it until mid January though..... Tim
  20. Now com'on......would I lie to you guys?! OK...so I said it was gonna be done by MSA 2003.....then 4th July 2003, then Labor Day 2003....then Thanksgiving 2003.... But now I REALLY mean it Tim
  21. I picked up my R230 side shafts from Speedway this morning, and my new adjustable rear control arms on Sunday. Put in my new brake master and bled the brakes tonight. Bolt up the shafts tomorrow, and drop in the control arms....AND........after almost 5 years the Z will see blacktop!!!! As long as the rain breaks up, I'll give it a drive (the little princess will NEVER be driven in the rain ). Kinda excited now....... Merry Xmas Everyone. (just thinking.....if she hits the road tomorrow, then I guess her birthday will be on Xmas day... ) Tim
  22. No I am using a R200 bar. The R180 pushes the diff to far forward. Tim
  23. Yup, almost 5 years. Actually (as has always happened before), it's kinda an anti climax. I'm actually not all that excited about driving it. Maybe I just need to shift gears into driving mode and out of building mode......or just sell the damn thing and start another........nah ...not yet anyways.... Yes...I will be at MSA. Tim
