  1. I think the the 'Personal' range was a BBS wheel. I doubt it was standard equipment, but I don't know for sure. Tim
  2. Z-rex and Datsunlover, would you mind terribly reducing the size of your signature pictures significantly. Nothing wrong with the pictures, but the size become somewhat obnoxious, especially when you have multiple posts in a topic.... Thanks, Tim (& other moderators at large)
  3. What the hell is that!! Sounds like PORN he he he Tim
  4. Been a subsciber since the beginning So does that mean that hybrids will get some more coverage int eh coming issues? Tim
  5. Well...my personal preference: The Indian mongoose is renowned for killing cobras, which it is capable of doing due to its very quick movements.
  6. Walk in with 35 parcels! (of HybridZ gear)!! Got most of it out tonight. I will send the remainder out on Monday. It's all going Priority Mail, so I think everyone will have their stuff by Xmas! Tim
  7. be more specific...Autometer makes several different gauge styles. Tim

  9. Still need to make a grill....won't be mesh.... Tim
  10. Weel, then I don't have anything to offer you . Although, most parts stores should carry them? If you do need O2 sensor bungs to weld in, the cheapest way i have found is to buy 14mm spark plug anti foul extentions, cut off the end, and weld them in...works great. Tim
  11. Try cracking open the hood when you park. I bet all that heat from the turbo is just soaking into the engine because it has nowhere else to go. Or try running without the vents bolted to the hood and see if that helps. I don't think that the oem plastic vents are all that effective. Also, do a search, there was a mod mentioned that used little fans installed in the wheel wells to suck the hot air out. Tim
  12. I used my old Z fuel line...so whatever that tubing size is...that's the size I used Tim
  13. It's not all that bad, but it definitely time consuming. Here is what I would do (caveat: I have not done this myself, so I'm speaking from theory, but I have done a couple of body mods to my car, so I'm pretty confident that this is correct): Place the part on your hood in the spot where you want it to be. mark a line around it on the hood with a sharpie. Using a grinder and sanding pad (80 grit minimum) grind from the line to about 4 inches out from the line to roughen up the hood surface (get all the paint off). Using a bonding agent (several glues are available for 'glass to metal), stick the part to the hood. I would follow that up with either rivets or sheetmetal screws to be sure that it won't move around on you, Sand the cowl a bit at the joint to the hood. Then, using some fiberglass reinforced body filler, skim the joint with a wide enough swath to make the transition smooth. Sand that down to feather the edges. Once you are happy with that, skim again with plastic filler, making sure that the edges are feathered to the hood surface. If you want, you can then skim with polyester filler to fill the sanding scratches. It may take several skims of each type of filler to get the desired results. Like I said, it's not difficult, but is very time consuming. Expect to have it take you 3 or 4 full days of work. Then you can primer and paint. Tim
  14. That's what I originally wanted to do, but I couldn't find a turn signal thin enough to squeeze into the bumper, and I dindn't feel like embarking on yet another fabrication project. This project has taken me almost 5 years now....and has seen it's fair share of snowballing scope....I had to, at some point, say "enough is enough"!! Tim
  15. Using the turn signals from a mid eighties Firebird. The lights are nice and sleek and compact, I guess somewhat similar to the later 280Z turn signals. These are dual filament bulbs so they are park and turn: Tim
  16. Awww sissy! When I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled, I was back at work the same afternoon....granted they sent me home because they couldn't stand to watch me spit blood every 2 minutes, but.... I also have the Vortec heads on my truck and they are nice heads. I bought them with the stiffer springs and am runnung a L98 can grind. Unless you are going to running some very serious HP, the 2 bolt mains are fine. 400hp on two bolt mains is just fine. But you are correct, the splayed main caps on a 2 bolt block is stronger than a 4 bolt block, but overkill a bit. As for books...I love the Lingenfelter book the best! Tim
  17. For the lazy at heart: Fantastic!!!!!
  18. The torque of the 383 will be more useable/desireable in the 4X4. Tim
  19. Yup me too!! I never accept any $$ for the family work, but let me tell you...when it comes to birthdays and Xmas....they REALLY take care of me!! Tim
  20. Chris, If I were in your place I would just replace the master. It's cheap insurance. It could be that overnight fluid gravity drained into the bore of the master and the air was displaced, thus giving you pedal pressure. Many times when I have trouble bleeding a slave cylinder, I will just leave the bleed nipple loose and let it sit overnight. The fluid slowly gravity drains and bleeds itself. Tim
  21. You'll also notice that the one on the left has the adjuster threaded down the sleeve a bit, so it is not adjusted the same as the one on the right. Tim
