Well, the current Z is less drivetrain, rear suspension, so that won't work. I am torn 50/50 on whether to start again, or just cut the crap out of this one.....I put a ton of work into the body and paint on this car, so its a catch 22: Too nice to cut up, and too much work into to unload it......

Although I agree that no contact is terrible maybe there is an explanation...not necessarily an excuse, but an explanation.....I will withhold any judgement until we hear from Alex......things have to be really bad for him. If his health is very poor due to injuries.....that will be his primary focus now.....as it should be..... hopefully we will hear from him soon

I have debating on whether or not to hack into my car for the flared panels.....thinking of maybe just staring with a new shell instead of hacking up this perfect one...... Is there a market for a body with as much customizing/personal touches as mine? To make it worth it, I certainly wouldn't "give" it away......but if someone wanted a bodywork finished 100% rust free car, it may be worth it? Opinions.......

Little things that detract from his statement "no expense spared": 1. Flex hose for top radiator hose. 2. Cheesy motor mounts 3. really cheesy strut brace (welds look bogus and the round tubing looks to be just hammered flat at the ends). Probably effective, but detracts from the look of the bay. 4. Stock Z accelerator linkage looks out of place..... 5. plug wires look to be slapped in there with no though of neat and tidy placement.

Well....someone reported this post to mods....don't know why......said it was anti-Christian and non-car related...... I think it is really cool.....so the the complaining party....COME ON! Listen....if you are going to say that it is anti-Christian, at least spell it correctly!

I guess the question will be: Will we be able to see the 'system' while driving, or will they be "hidden" from view? According to the TV news report, they will be moved around to different locations from time to time......

MAF is slightly smaller for the L99......just FYI. I had them side by side. I did measure them, but don't remember the measurements

I was thinking that if one were to fabricate some kind of venturi around the tip of the exhaust that would create a more significant mixing of external air with the exhaust stream that would dilute any high readings......You know, the old "dilution is the solution to pollution" attitude.

I just spliced into the VSS signal prior to the ECM. Had zero issues. I originally tried the ECm output signal and had problems....called Autometer and they said to tap directly into the VSS before the ECM.

I have a 4.3L LT1 V8 long block. Yours if you want it. You could use the crank in a 350LT1 and that would give you your destroked V8. The long block is yours if you like....just come by and grab it.....otherwise it is going to the scrap merchant.....

I am assuming that you are talking about the second gen LT1 (1992 up). If so, then the heads will not work....they are a whole different animal (reverse cooling etc). They won't fit a non-LT1 350 block either.
