  1. I think I paid $25 for a 25 foot x 3 foot roll. I used the aluminum tape at the seams. It was a very inexpensive job. I think I saw it near the plumbing isles at HD....
  2. Yeah Van.....what's up with posting details without pics.....poor show ol chap!
  3. I ordered a roll from McMAster Carr, but I noticed that Home Depot also has it. I just cut to shape and used aerosol adhesive to keep it against the floorboards.
  4. I used the plastic bubble wrap which is encased in aluminum foil on both sides and laid it down on the floors and tunnel under the carpet. Works great...had zero heat issues. Pics on my website http://tim240z.iwarp.com/photo5.html
  5. Lost dial tone on my home phone yesterday (MCI). Getting through to someone via cell phone was brutal, then ended up talking to someone in India, or some other 3rd world country. I was so frustrated and downright angry after the whole ordeal (at this point I still have no landline service). I just ordered Vonage. I have spoken to several people who have it and love it, so I pulled the trigger and ordered it. The monthly charge will be way less than half what I am paying MCI now, so it should be good. Anyone here using it?
  6. You can almost see my house in that photo!
  7. Looks like you flew into/out of LAX from that third to last picture....
  8. Before you set your heart on selling and buying, make sure that you can get what you want for the Z. I have a feeling that $6k will be a stretch....I just don't think that the market is that healthy. Not saying that it is impossible, but keep that in mind. Thinking what you may get and getting what you think are 2 completely different things.....just don't base your decision on "pie in the sky", that's all I'm saying. The car market, esp. the niche market for converted Z cars, can be very dicey. If you can find a buyer at your price, then start thinking about a firm decision, until then you are just farting against thunder. Best of luck....sorry that you are throwing in the towel..... Also, find out what the cost of ownership of the new car will be: --maintenance --fuel --insurance --taxes --Registration etc etc and compare that to your Z and what you will need to sink into it to make it what you want. Go about this logically....take the emotion out of it and you may find the decision is easier than you thought, whichever way it goes. Well...that's my 2c worth.
  9. Color sanding really sucks.....been there done that...a few times. Might be worth getting a body shop quote to do it. It will take them a fraction of the time and it will likely come out better......just food for thought....
  10. Your logon automatically gets deleted the minute the Z title changes hands...sorry
  11. You cannot correctly do an alignment job without checking the rear before setting the front. Even if the rear is non-adjustable, you still need to zero the thrust angle so that the car doesn't 'crab'
  12. Now that I have subframe connectors it is easy, but before that i used the TC rod mounting cups in the front and the anti-roll bar mounts in the rear to put my jack stands....
  13. Sounded like they were speaking Italian in the background?

  15. Let's just say that it was much easier to get them out of the garage and down the driveway as it is to get them back up.... Got the Z in there now, but not the GT...
  16. It fell down and stuck to the walls!~
  17. 2 x garrett turbos. 60-1s for the 357ci that I am building for the Z.
  18. Still need to put up my plastic parts bins against the back wall above the work bench (still waiting for the shipment to arrive), but that is the last of it. Also still have some packing and organizing to do, but I already have a lot more room. I have thrown out about 5 big black trash bags FULL of junk, plus have to make a run to the dump to get rid of the big stuff that I can't put on the curb! Old photos here:Followup to this thread Drywalled the three walls and made a new work bench, put up some new cabinets and shelving and peg board for my tools (by the workbench, and air tools by the air hose reel).
