  1. Maybe he went on vacation, had a family emergency, or some other issue....don't jump to conclusions.....I think Alex's reputation is worth far more to him than a set of pistons...... just my 2c worth...
  2. Then you are in the wrong place.... Purism or anti-engine swap attitudes are not tolerated here....
  3. yes...some left...after these run out...no more!!!!!!!!!
  4. OK...I can't read (or speak) japanese!! What engine is that...It is very sexy!!! ...... and I' m a V8 guy
  5. :lmao::lmao: That was wayy funny!!!
  6. Bart, This is how I had mine wired: 12V from fuse block to relay, then from relay to fan (so this is the fused power supply to fan) Then I had an un-fused small wire (22 guage) from 12V power to toggle switch, then same size/color wire from toggle switch to switch terminal on the relay. Then the 4th post (other side of the switch portion) of the relay to ground. I used regular automotive grade relays. If you run to the JY, you can pull them all day long and walk out with a pocket full of them....payment optional

  8. Firstly: Welcome! Now that's out of the way, there are several things you need to do before posting any further: 1. Read the rules sticky at the top of the forum. 2. Read the classifieds rules sticky. 3. Read all the other stickies 4. Before posting ANY questions, use the search function, try several variations of the search terms/key words. Absolutely any questions you have have very likely been answered, and answered several dozen times over. As to your question: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=100674 (this topic is actually 1 post below yours).
  9. Never leave home without one, plus three more in the house and 2 in the garage.....paranoid type! Glad everything is ok!
  10. Hey, you two guys wanna get a room? JK.....yeah....let's see the pics!!
  11. Now that is a bitchin car!! I would definitely like to see the 14th pic down turned into a real car (with the LS7!!)
  12. With these fans, on high speed, there is no way that can't tell that it is working correctly.....they pull huge amounts of air....it is so obvious when it isn't working right....
  13. Don't usually like to comment on the 'looks' of a car after a first look, but the front is terrible. The rear is good, but the front looks too bulbous.....looks like there is something missing.....like they designed the car, then said...."Oh crap, we forgot to put headlights in it!!"
  14. Is your fuel press. reg. bolted to the firewall? If so, you will likely have problems with the lack of flexibility between the engine and the regulator..... Looks great though!!
  15. Bad advice. Parents have been through just about everything we have.....they have experience, learn from it while you can....
  16. Bart, What guage wire are you using to the fan. I used a regular automotive relay and used a toggle switch for the high speed on the fan and never had any problems......I also only used a 20 or 25 amp fuse and never blew any. Are you sure that the fan is wired correctly....I have a couple of other Taurus fans if you want to try another (maybe yours has gotten tired?).... Tim
  17. Jon, There is an exception to prove every rule There are so many things in your statement above that are against all the stats: You are married and getting 'it' often. You buddies are single and NOT getting 'it' often (Maybe they need new 'Game'?) You were married young and are still married, and I assume (since you are getting 'it') happily married. You are an aberation to be sure (by American statistical standards anyways)
  18. Just remember that you will need a new intake for the vortecs, so add that cost into your decision.....forget about the 'camel humps'.Old school and junk relative to the newer stuff.
  19. WTF!!....you shouldn't even have a girlfriend at 21, let alone a 'significant other'!! You should be playing the field and having fun......having issues like these at such a young age is really sad (not trying to be mean....when you get older you will realize what I mean). Break loose from all these ties and enjoy life.....Don't even think about getting tied down until at least 28-32 MINIMUM..... well....lecturing will do nothing....just think about life in perspective and keep an open mind.....don't lock yourself into anything....life is wayyyyyyyyyyy to short for that.... ....and I agree with Jon's iceberg analogy.
  20. Been discussed numerous times. Major problem is getting primer into the hidden spots that the dip removed....those areas, being uncoated now, will rust quicker.....
  21. Those early 700s are notoriously weak, even behind the 6 in the van. Those are good vans, but suffered from the weak tranny. Just FYI....
