  1. I've also wondered about using the Jag front suspension unit. I have one sitting in the driveway. It is a good bit wider, and a Damn sight heavier, but ha really nice brakes (vented rotors with 4 piston calipers - which, BTW bolt up to the Z caliper pickups - just can't find rotors to use). Also not sure if the jag suspension would be any kind of an upgrade, or if it would be backward engineering.....it is double wishbone and is a complete "bolt up" crossmember unit...

  3. Motor and trans (TH350). Because the motor has very few miles on it since I did a complete rebuild on it (<5k). Everything is basically new (heads, valves, pistons, distributor, waterpump, bearings, intake etc etc etc). It is not worth it for me to take less....I would rather just keep it and find a car to put it in......
  4. Two words for you: Vee Eight!! Just ribbin ya! As soon as my Garage is done (couple of weeks), pull in.....
  5. VCT won't stand up to heavy mechanical use (IE Jack Stands, dropping sharp stuff, welding slag etc). I have been looking into floor coverings for several months and nothing will stand up to what I need it to. Even those modular flooring systems ($$$$$$) won't do it....nothing will, so I will leave the floor bare concrete.....
  6. I think the correct ones are in the 3.8L cars., but that one 'looks' like the correct one. I have 3 of them from the last sale day, but none of them had that little 'module'....
  7. $5k V8 or L28T is possible IF you have already done suspension and brakes....and even then you will need to do some very hard deal shopping
  8. the hardware store stuff is not structural foam and will not have any positive effects on the integrity of your chassis. Do some searching as this has been discussed before several times.
  9. Don't use anything from the home stores...it is junk. The problem with all epoxy floor coatings is that the prep work has to be very extensive (sanding and acid etching the floor, then cleaning and then several coats in the correct temp and humidity). Also, it does not stand up to steel fabrication work (welding and grinding) and jack stands etc. So, I will likely leave it alone. AGAIN....stay away from the Home Depot stuff.
  10. Boy.....it makes it so much nicer when you actually post the link in your thread (sorry pet peeve). Anyways, looks like a really nice setup:
  11. I understand your decision Alex.....but sorry to hear that you aren't going to complete the project. I hope you get what you are hoping for, Dollar-wise, for the car. Hope you won't drop off the face of HZ, though!
  12. Well....after an afternoon's work, I got two new 110V outlet boxes run, and 1 1/4 wall's worth of 1/2" drywall up. Man that drywall gets heavy after a while when lifting and moving it around by myself!!!
  13. Chicago, San Francisco, and others were all rebuilt after fires/earthquakes etc when no-one thought it possible......N.O. will be rebuilt, but why someone would want to live below sea level is beyond me....be it the Gulf Coast or Netherlands........or wherever. Then again, I guess the same can be said for living over a major tectonic fault system....

  15. In his first post he says that he has to document the upgrade to brakes and suspension for the extra HP engine
  16. Getting it out was one thing....I was scratching my head as to how I got all that crap in there!!
