  1. Not much but I did my swap in it
  2. I cut out the ears for the tranny and moved them back further in the tunnel using the stock L series trans mount. As for motor mounts I positioned the motor where I needed it, mocked up mounts out of cardboard and then did the same with metal. Tacked it up, made sure everything fit and did a final weld and painted it all up. Pretty easy to do, takes some time, and saves you $$$. I made motor mounts for probably $30 and trans $10.
  3. Dont know a lot about the NA version but it should be the same less a turbo for the most part...Different cams maybe but the turbo RB's rev to 8 easy and love it. I have seen RB's with aftermarket cams rev to 10K and still be happy, I have also seen 12K but I wouldn't do that haha....
  4. Not an Enzo, Not a f430 challenge but close and its not a f430 but the tach in the f430 is very similar.
  5. Yes but only half correct. Its a special Ferrari, hint hint.
  6. Pic via my new camera. Original is larger but you get the idea. Kudos to who can figure out what car its in, wont be that hard to figure out haha.
  7. I got a walbro 255 off of ebay for 100 bucks. Brand new and it was walbro brand. Works great.
  8. Hey I did some research on that 280zx and that design has actually been around for a while. For those who have kids should have recognized it.
  9. Nice work and a very nice z. Im lovin the black out!!!
  10. I didnt have to use water to start my burnout haha just kiddin. That z is gonna move stony, nice work.
  11. Havent heard of any bulletins as of now. A lot of fires on mid-engined Ferrari's are due to something getting on the cats considering they are very close to the motor and get very hot. As far as the 599 goes that shouldnt be as common of a problem but these things happen usually from error on the technicians part. I am very anal about leaving fluids anywhere on the engine, I use a lot of brake clean and dry all areas. The exhausts on these cars get extremely hot. These cars go through a lot of testing and everything on these cars are designed for a reason. Some people start changing things and this can happen, Im not saying that this is the case on this car but I have heard of it before.
  12. Funny thing is...I work on those.. hehe. But thats not good. Can you smell that 611hp v-12 burning?? Hopefully it didnt get into the interior. Seats are around $25K each. Its a later 599 too, he has the carbon ceramic brakes on it.
  13. The last picture looks like a design thats been around for a while. Helps heat escape out from inside the wheel if I remember right. The first picture looks almost like something designed to keep the tire in contact with the ground at higher speed for greater traction? That would be my guess but most of the designs look like they are for brake cooling.
  14. I got my walbro 255 pump off ebay brand new for 105 bucks. Do it right the first time trust me, I wouldnt buy a used fuel pump, especially from a car that has been sitting for who knows how long. As far as radiators, Im still using my stock 280z radiator, works fine for me. For a throttle cable I went to fred meyer and found a suitable bike brake cable and modified it to work. There is a lot you can do yourself, may take you a little more time but saves you money. So total cost for these three items.... Pump-$105 Cable-$7 Radiator-$0 just need a coolant pipe-$10. Total-$122
  15. Speaking of spicer....You might aswell replace all your u-joints with spicer units if you are still running the stock u-joints. I experienced destroying one on a halfshaft while "breaking in my tires"
  16. Well I have been around the real ones in the past 7 months being a Ferrari Tech now.. They are great fun to drive and beautiful cars. The REAL ones are haha. I would never own a kit car, its just trying to be something it will never be. By the looks of it, its a money pit that will never be something special. Sorry to be harsh but its my opinion. Your porsche is a lot cooler then that. Just save up $130,000 for a real one
  17. If your talking about the input shaft from the driveline into the tranny its the same as a 300zx TT.
  18. That color is gonna look great, I love it!
  19. No!!! New headlights!! duh! haha
  20. I have been dealing with this on and off for the past couple weeks. Ill get it running good then the next day it will rev to 4K and stop. The biggest thing I found that helped was adjusting fuel pressure as needed. I need to replace my filters and recheck my pressure and I think I will be good to go again. 42psi is stock fuel pressure and when I set it at that it runs all the way to 7,000rpm with stock boost. What kind of fuel pressure are you at with 10psi??
