  1. +1 on this one. I just did the dipstick swap from front to rear and need the correct dipstick as my motor didnt come with one either. If someone can measure theres from the base of the handle to the end and give the length of the empty to fill mark then I can just make one.
  2. Its for an oil temp sensor. Easy to get confused but I bet your glad its not leaking haha.
  3. Haha no matter how fast, its still a honda. My friend had one and usually ran around a 14.5. Thats a second slower then my stock RB.
  4. Hmmm well the car didnt sell.......So out of celebration I have this for you.. hehehe Im keeping the car by the way...
  5. Im sorry big phil....but have you been drinking? I hardly understand anything of what you just said.....
  6. Thats why I said I would be more likely to afford a WRX because of inital cost and insurance cost. Didnt expect diesel to go up a dollar since Ive owned the truck which has been about 3 months. I spend around $100 a week in gas.
  7. I have had a lot of good support on this subject. Basically, I am the kind of person that if I dont feel like im progressing then I feel worthless....Thats my downfall. I have decided if it sells it sells, if not...then I will keep it, drive it how it is and wait till I am making more and can afford to build it. Ofcourse I am only 19.... Thanks for the support guys. With the payment I have on my truck and with the cost of diesel I can probably afford a WRX to replace it and still have a fun DD that will get me through bad weather and be realiable.
  8. Wow very close indeed. Havent test driven any yet but I did test drive a '05 evo. The thing that kills me though is insurance, I havent looked yet but I know it'll be atleast 400 a month eventhough I have a perfect record. I get a discount because I work for a certain dealership.....so '05 Evo, 43,000 miles, lowered, full exhaust, slotted rotors= $23,000. Now dont get me wrong, these things are money pits if you modify so just understand Im looking for something that will perform in its stock form. I know WRX's are great but 14.4 sec quarter mile....Id be going from a 13.5 car to a 14.5 car.... Ugh Speed addiction is almost as bad as a drug addiction.. The life us car guys live....
  9. I guess if its not sold by then I can. Im selling the toyota (wheeler) and dodge(daily driver) to get something I can have fun with, daily drive with all the ammenities and perform enough to make me happy in its stock form.
  10. Well, Im 19 years old still living at home and Its time to let go of the projects. Ive come to realise that this car will never be what I want it to be with my income. I just spent $2000 in standalone ECU components for it and I cant start the work to put it in. I just know Ill take it apart, run out of money and it will be a pile of pieces and a lot of us know how that is.
  11. But it has to happen. Im not gonna say much so here it is. http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/car/640991126.html

  13. Stock Z tranny mount, redrilled holes for RB tranny. Cut original tunnel mounts, made my own and moved them back.
  14. I would like to know the answers to this question aswell.. I heard that stock fuel rail pressure is 41 psi, I may be wrong....
  15. I run a adjustable fuel regulator from SARD.
  16. I hit 250whp at 8psi. With my standalone in and tuned I hope to hit 300whp with 10-12psi and hopefully not grenading the turbo. Then next winter hopefully will get intake manifold, injectors, head studs and gasket, along with hy35 turbo or possible hx40???
  17. Are you joking me??? I bought a $300 camcorder and Im really dissapointed with the quality. Grrrr
  18. Here at Hybridz its all about personal preference. You do what you want to do and whats going to be fun for you. I picked a RB because I wanted to keep it nissan, 6 cyl, and wanted to go turbo. I love the sound of them and the power you can easily make with them. Now if your looking for a motor that will be easy to build, RB is not for you. The parts market in america is growing but no where near a v8 product or even a sr20. RB's are EXPENSIVE! You can easily build a v8 or l28et to around 400whp for the amount of money I have spent into just getting the motor in my car and getting it to run right. Not to confuse anyone about that last comment but that is based on the amount of money I have put into my car and from what I have seen other peoples costs for say a l28et build. Now if you build a ls1 with all the latest and greatest parts then yes you will spend more but thats not the point. Personally this thread could have been finished in the first page. Yes a RB will make plenty of power for you to beat vette's and stuff like that. But you can also kick ass with a l28et, v8, or sr20, or 2jz. The point is what you want to do and how you want to stand out from the rest of us.
  19. You want torque? Get a cummins. Havent seen that swap yet.

    Oh Wow

I like how he needs the money really bad but he will also trade for a harley haha..Thats a knee slapper..
  21. With the pan removed go from the original dipstick location to the rear of the block on the same side and you will find a brass plug most likely covered in grime. Get yourself a punch and knock that out from the inside out and switch with the dipstick. If you need more of a discription with pictures use the search option and you will find more information. Shouldn't be too hard to find the brass plug tho. Hope this helps.
  22. Yea thats where the swap took place haha. My toyota is takin up the space in there for now but next winter it will be a different story haha.
  23. So time for the Z to get a bath!!! Still need to do the paint buuuuut there are so many other things with performance that are first:) Enjoy!!
