  1. Aahhh.... having youth on your side!! I remember being just as enthused, and addicted to working on my Z. I've gone through most, if not all, of your ups and downs too. If feels like nothing else does when you dig into a project, and whip it, then stand back and admire what you have just accomplished... You are doing some very nice work on your Z! Keep the stories, and pictures flowing...
  2. No, it's something very irritating when done 10 times in a row on 1 page. I get the rule, just not where I did it in that post. I did not quote anything. I simply posted a picture with a kudos @ Gabe...
  3. Yes, they are orig. Nissan fenders I have put up for in case of a fender bender. I even pulled down from my attic today, a brand new Nissan fender I'm saving, just to make sure it's not because of the fender being off. I added those pics to the Photobucket album I linked above in CF headlight bucket album They simply do not fit. IF, they were able to be flexed / spread apart to 13 1/4" then bonded / screwed down, they could possibly come close to fitting, but as is, they are 12 1/2" ( 3/4" off minimum) and will not flex but maybe 1/8".... These would have to be cut, spread apart, then patched, and painted I guess, to be used. It's a shame, cause the pair I received look pretty nice over all.
  4. No money back yet. I just received the buckets in the mail today. I just sent them a email requested a refund. We'll see how it goes...
  5. Yep! same place. I knew what was up when he got all huffy when I ask for "real" pics. The issue with these I get is, the buckets need to be spread at the bottom to make them 13 1/4" fit the fender, because the fender has that round stamped metal attached to it, and you can't push the fender metal together to make the 12" spread on their buckets. There is no way in hail these will fit ANY Z, unless they remove the round metal the headlight assembly bolts to...
  6. Can you imagine getting something like this for a $500 buy it now price tag. This is what they are trying to get on eBay right now. It's bad enough I now have to jump through the hoops with eBay, PayPal, and frpbodykits to get a refund for my petty $100 +-.... http://smg.photobuck...zcar/?start=all aprox 12 3/4" (needs to be aprox 13 1/4") fender metal 13 1/4" CF bucket 12 3/4" in same area = NO FIT! CF bucket will not budge, can not pull outward. Fender will not move inward. Bucket would have to be cut, made wider due to no flexing possible. Can not pull CF part out, can't push fender in = NO FIT! Can not pull CF part out, can't push fender in = NO FIT! Here is all the pics I just took>> CF Bucket Album
  7. Yea, better pics is a must! Turbo sticking out of hood? Looks mighty high.
  8. Just today got a USPS shipping number, so I should be able to show them here soon.
  9. Gotcha. I made myself one when I was using a L6 with a turbo. I used a 3 way brass T off the oil galley. Have you thought of that?
  10. I think I have a couple. You are talking about the part bolted underneath the intake (just to the right of the yellow dip stick finger pull?)
  11. LOL... you mean this intake pic>> I was changing out my standalone ecu to a updated version, and I had the firing order/ injectors wired wrong while trying to start it up . I cranked it over for about 5 sec, then it went ka-bOOm....
  12. Outch.... that looks nasty. Can you post pics of the whole bucket to please.
  13. Ryan, I sent the covers your way UPS today. Let me know when they are coated, and I'll send you the payment. thanks - joel
  14. I bought the hood in 2006 for $300 from RaceOn. I've had it stored since. Wow... too pricey.
  15. Thanks! . Well, since I already have plenty of "go", I figure I'll try and make the "show" part better when I can... Sorry bout that . I had my bid at twice that, so I prolly would have gotcha anyhow... Right now I don't mind the look of contrasting colors. Look how great EvilC's Z looks... I will show them off soon as I can.
  16. Yea, the 4th pic down shows that edge where the studs "should" be. Looks like there is material there to just screw it to the fender brackets (3/4" self tapper maybe?). I don't know for sure till I get them and see. It's funny all the hoopla about these when the guy tries selling them here, but not one pic any where of one installed.... I guess some body has to be the guinea pig... lol Here is the orig thread>> CF Surrounds thread Heck, if they end up being a turd, I didn't loose too much, but If I can make them work, I'm going to finally go ahead and also install my CF hood, CF air dam, and my BAMF CF ZG's
  17. IF they fit, I just got a smokin deal....
