  1. I'm with you on that Jeff....I have not bolted mine up to my car and in fact just took it out of the box last night and in an attempt to get me motivated to get it on the car....I am biting my lower lip on it as I have not heard too many success stories with these headers and we paid a premium for them...UG! Yasin
  2. Great video!! Love the sound of the car. So looks like we are a bunch of Colorado guys here....Brian, Proxlamus, SleeperZ and me - cool! Are you guys making it to the Z show in Denver this weekend? Yasin
  3. Thumper - Clay on the grinder first. Yasin
  4. Thanks for the pics....awesome...made my morning! Yasin
  5. "Hello....Help Desk....can you please call the Canon Service Rep...slight problem with the surface glass..." Yasin
  6. That's Steve's car...he works at Nissan Motorsports and the car is kept in storage there...he currently has a beautiful R32 GTR that is his new toy. His Z31 has a heavily worked VG33 in it. Yasin
  7. Looks like the Fujitsubo Legalis....beautiful. Yasin
  8. Thumper - 20,000rpm industrial 5hp bench grinder and varying clay based metal compounds is the way I do it - just watch your fingers!!! Yasin
  9. Pics....we want pics! Especially more pics of the 1J truck! Yasin
  10. Wow....that looks menacing...love it! Keep those pics coming. I heard that Rick's mounts were very well made. Congrats on the progress thus far! Yasin
  11. Guys - Thought I would just mention that I love my L28! My water pump was starting to leak (it was the original factory one...never replaced) and so yesterday was the day I spent giving my ZXT the attention that it needs. Brand new water pump with gasket from Advance Auto Parts (lifetime warranty) - $20!!! New 180F Stant thermostat and gasket - $8 Coolant - $8 So for about $40 I completely changed the above parts plus did a coolant flush. Time spent about 2 VERY leisurely hours. Talk about straight forward and fuss free too, after working on my Porsche 911, what a breath of fresh air!! While I was at it I did this...why not...LOL: Went from this: to this: and the thermostat housing: Even purging the air out of the cooling system was no problem afterwards. Then took the car for a blast! And what a blast it was too even at a modest 10psi....love my ZXT, I fall in love with car again every time I drive it. Yasin
  12. I swear by these fans and have been running them on my L28ET for about 2years now....bought from Summit Racing and they will support some big powered L28 turbo engines. they are made by Flex-A-Lite and cost me over $200 if I remember correctly. Best part is they are low profile, come with a thermostat control and a manual overide switch. Yasin
  13. The best M-engine to transplant into a Z would be the early 286hp twin cam 24V straight six, less fussy electronics and supercharging or turbocharging it would be down right siiiiick! Plus removing the emissions crap and opening the exhaust up would yield an easy 300+hp... From either of these M cars, same engine: Yasin
  14. Scottie - I was waiting for you to chime in...remember a while back I told you I was considering a 930..can't believe that I did it! Yasin
  15. XS Power is getting lambasted on just about EVERY automotive forum...their reputation is about to be flushed....
  16. To be honest I find I have had the most success with Permatex UltraGrey instead of using a gasket...I love that stuff, when I die, my wish is to have a tube of that resting next to me. Yasin
  17. Thanks again guys! Guards Red was the only color for me...I had the opportunity to get one in metallic silver and that looked beautiful as well, and black I could not get into (hate the swirl marks especially in the light!). I call it "Arrest Me" red...instead of Guards Red...LOL Clint I love the 964 as well...but something with the early model body style and the last year (1989) just sucked me in, factory LSD and hydraulic 5speed! Jsquared - I built the 20V ITB turbo'd AE86 at home, all on my time, so the cash outlay was not as bad as having somebody do it for me and I am very particular with what mods are done and how things are built, if I screw its only me to blame! Rufus - Yes the black trim panel is standard on these cars. b_sosick and Bill - thanks again for your comments and compliments. Regards - Yasin
  18. Yup they spead out the clamping force - distribute the torque of the bolts and not point load against the oil pan lip. The oil pan is a very soft metal as it is so uneven distribution of torque from tightening up the million bolts that hold the oil pan to the block will eventually end up with leaks if you do not use those L-brackets. Tempting to eliminate, but please don't Yasin
  19. $600 for that!! Crap cakes....now this is depressing...that is a $12,000+ car all day long. Damn YOU! Yasin (I'm VERY jealous!)
  20. Mr Mortsen is a 100% correct in his reply!
  21. Mikey - Well I doubt I will ever take the S130 to the same level as the AE86, I got VERY burnt out on the AE86 to be honest - but the end result really speaks for itself! Next on the list for the S130 is Megasquirt and some more boost - 10psi and stock electronics just ain't cuttin' it! LOL Cody, John - Thanks bro! Just could not pass up on this car...just too sweet. Jamie - So I take it your wife is a 911 lover....after owning this car I am coming across a large female demographic that feels the same way..wink..wink! Yes I got a great price for my Rolla, but I spent a fortune for it too, there are not many in the US that were as highly developed and as clean...the carbon fiber, the Wilwood brakes, the turbo and the intercooler alone add up to $5grand! Thanks for all the compliments gang - Yasin
  22. Came across this on eBay.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4553358162&category=6187 Very neat car...but seller does not seem to give much detail or seem to know much about that car. Sellers says: 1) Block was bored 40mm???? 2) Why a CF II clutch? 3) '83 LSD???? Sketchy description but the car does looks good, esp detailed engine bay. Yasin
  23. Yes it has a P90 non-hydraulic head and I would give him $500 for it. I sold a complete '83 ZXT last fall that was badly rotten but had a great engine and Borg Warner for $500. Yasin
