  1. I agree with Battle Pope, I have done MANY 4AG conversions and I consider myself to be a bit of Toyota expert. I have done many conversions in the past and they are pain to wire, but certainly not impossible. You car is called the AE92 chassis and the 4AG that you have found will bolt right in - no issues there. Are you sure the 4AG that you found is MAP or AFM? If its MAP then it is the ultra rare 130hp variant that only came to the U.S for one year ('90-'91), the other AFM versions were 112hp. The conversion is fun and everything on your list is what you need. A couple weekends and you will be on your way to 4AG fun. Here is the last 4AG I built....only 286wheel hp... Yasin
  2. Gotta be well over a million dollars in damage there...ouch.
  3. Looks great Austin....Mike expressed my exact sentiments....everything you do turns out purrrrfect the first time. I'm jealous.. Yasin
  4. CRAP CAKES that looks MEAN!!! WOW....I hope you are complimenting the look with some hp to turn those barrels you have on the rear. Looking forward to updates. Yasin
  5. Mike the Wabbit is 4lug so are you going to run adapters to put the 928 wheels on it? I hate CIS too...YUK...ak me how I know! Guys are making BIG powa with the 2.0L 16V engines and turbocharging so lots of potential there. You just have to figure engine management. Yasin
  6. Mike have you got the aluminum perfectly smooth? It has to perfectly smooth, on other words you can run your finer nail on it and not feel any grain in the aluminum. If you have got it perfectly smooth, aluminum will "stain" as you say..due to the grade used when it was cast. I have done an extensive amount of polishing, so can relate. Yasin
  7. Well gang, at the time of writing I am wore the hell out. I have been working on my ZXT all afternoon. Last summer (2004) I removed my oil pan to weld in a bung for my Autometer Oil Temp Gauge, plus the pan gasket was leaking. I then sealed it up using Permatex Ultra Grey WITHOUT a gasket, everything was fine until a few weeks ago I noticed that oil was weaping past the Ultragrey onto my garage floor....SIGH...I hate oil leaks.....double SIGH To get the oil pan out last year, I removed: 1) The exhaust 2) Driveshaft 3) Tranny and shifter 4) Clutch, flywheel and shield On other words ALOT of work....many people said Yasin all you needed to do was remove the engine mounts and hack up the engine.... So fine.....I did that removed the engine mounts and jacked the engine up under the crankshaft pulley as high as it could go, the engine is right up against the tranny tunnel firewall. Well guess what....I STILL cannot get the freaking oil pan out. I tried every possible angle to coax it out and NO LUCK. Its close, but I need another inch approx as it is hitting the very base of the tranny bellhousing when I try to slide it backwards. Part of the problem as well, is the damn rack and pinion x-member is also in the way. This has to be one of the trickiest things to do on a ZXT with engine still in the car...cripes! All is not lost though.... I actualy have lots of working room with the engine about 3-4inches off the mounts and I was still able to successfully clean off all the hardened Ultra Grey off the oil pan (still took ALOT of time), luckily alot of it comes off in long stringy sections and I used a mirror between the block and the oil pan surface to ensure the oil pan surface is clean and ready for re-installation. I also made sure that there were no stringy sections of Permatex that fell into the oil pan. I can move the oil pan around alot..just not enough room for complete removal. I came close to removing the tranny etc etc again, but there is no need as there is no need to really completely remove the oil pan for this particular job. At the same time I replaced the turbo drain gasket (started to sweat oil) and hose clamps to the pan. No messin' around I am ordering a Nissan Motorsports Competition Oil Pan Gasket tomorrow and should have it all back together by next weekend hopefully and hopefully NO more leaks. Frustrated and VERY tired - Yasin
  8. Wow...I enjoyed that...."violent" is an understatement. Launched extremely hard and tracked perfectly straight - WOW Amazing for a NA! Sounds heavily ported though. Yasin
  9. I enjoyed the video! Beautiful car and incredibly executed. Jealous! Yasin
  10. I would rock it...Toyota's 1UF V8 32V Quad Cam silky smooth power in a beautiful car and one of the cleanest conversion yet!! WOW! Yasin
  11. Tokicos for sure....that is what I am running on my coil-overed ZXT Yasin
  12. I have used Redline WaterWetter and I would definately say it makes a huge difference probably by around 10-15F, I run it straight with water but be prepared to flush it once Winter rolls into town. The aluminum rad is the way to go! Yasin
  13. Vince - Sounds awesome, did you try posting on http://www.z31.com, thats you best bet and those guys on there have built some sick Z31 like yours. Yasin
  14. Great pics...looking awesome...saw the Cabarnet Sauvignon box..got a good laugh from that! Yasin
  15. You are not giving us any info to help you. What you should have supplied with your (brief and poorly detailed) post was: 1) Size of injectors? 2) Which turbo? 3) Intercooled or not? 4) How much boost? 5) Stock electronics? 6) Have you triple checked all electrical connectors? 7) Fuel pump - which one? 8) Have you triple checked all hose clamps? 9) What color are your plugs and what type and heat range plug? 10) Timing? 11) Fuel pressure? That's just the beginning...... Yasin
  16. Buy it with the L28ET conversion done and talk to the owner if he sounds diligent and thorugh then you can safely bet that he did a clean installation and not something thrown together with butt and spade connectors but do be careful there are tons of "slap-'em together Joes" out there. Yasin
  17. Me too....I have Hypercoils and I am happy with them, 225R and 200F Yasin
  18. That definitely is a cool and very rare Z, but I am still undecided as to if I like it or not....definitely stands out for sure and looks to be well built. Good luck if you do get it. Yasin
  19. Bill Strong is a very talented man and a hardcore MR2 guy! Kuddos to his brilliant fabrication skilllz Yasin
  20. As stated these 280ZX tailights that will fit only the '79-'83 ZX, not the 300ZX Yasin
  21. toyoz - Wow....what an incredible conversion you done on your CE...absolutely love it....I would love to go for a spin! Congrats ultra ultra clean and beautiful. Mike - When I come down to TX next can I come spend a day turning wrenches with you....sounds like therapy for me....! Yasin
  22. Not fair...when do I get to drive Afshin's car? Damn it...now I have to go to the east coast to drive it. Afsh...I got your message, will call you on the weekend, I was away in Toronto for just over a week. BTW, my ZXT is not the fastest thing around but one thing I will say is that it was faster than my Porsche 911 turbo from rest to about 80mp/h and my ZXT has taken down some big game on the street. Power potential is incredible and I have not even "really" tapped into it as yet. Yasin
  23. I just saw the top of the mountain....looks fabulous. Yasin
