  1. I've got both sides like that. These are from a 73 for what it is worth. How does $25 plus shipping sound?
  2. Nevermind... my post was incorrect.
  3. Sure you can plug. Off course you lose the water circulating through the TB. I don't think you will have an issue in CA.
  4. I watched all 3 of those videos. Wow is all I can say. It's like Car Warriors x 10 in insanity! Those 6" spacers are nuts! Engineering?! What's that, cut weld add, hey it looks good. I would very scared to ride in that car for any period of time suspension wise. I do like the "Can do" attitude. They just make it happen.
  5. Make sure you get the original install discs if it does not come with a partion on the drive to do a full restore. Also, after you get it set the way you want it, make sure you back it up.
  6. I think India needs to stick with "IT" (Information Techonology). I'm sorry but watching a Sikh work on a car was just funny to me. Don't know why but it was. I guess painting a car with a respirator is a fashion no, no there! Yikes! "These tires will make it faster" made me laugh too! Give them another 10 years or so. Then they will start getting it right!
  7. I wouldn't do it either Joel. That's a lot of money to be spend for something you likely just don't need. What are the specs of your current model and I'm assuming it's misbehaving for your desire for a new PC? Sometimes a simple reformat and reinstall of the OS is all a current PC needs. The laptop i'm on now I picked up for $5.00 from a garage sale. Screen was bad. It's a Dell from 2010 that just came out of warranty. I put a new screen in it and it works perfect. If your just surfing the net, word docs, etc. a basic system is fine. I would actually have 2 PCs: One for just doing financial work on and that's it and another to surf the net, mess around etc. In today's age you can't be to careful. This Clark Howards advice.
  8. Logic?, never, addiction for me! LOL!
  9. Just as an FYI for those trying to help. Datsun/Nissan made several 4 and 5-speed manual transmissions available in the second generation Z car or S130. The 1981-1983 FS5W71B is a "close ratio" five speed transmission where the FS5R90A 5-speed transmission found in the 1983 280zx turbo is a "wide ratio" transmission. Close ratio transmissons are preferred for road racing as they allow the driver to maintain a tighter rev range between gears compared to wide ratio versions. http://www.xenons130.com/Transmissions.html
  10. LOL! I almost waited for you to come check it out first. I went back early the next day and paid him in full. The entire motor is from a later series ZX.
  11. I needed an extra car like I needed a hole in my head, but for the price I just couldn't say no. -New Tires -New Vitaloni Mirrors -New Full Dash Cap -New lowering springs -After market sway bar -Urethane Front Air dam -Newer carpet kit -In the bag New Windows, doors seal kit -Nice Grant Steering wheel -Headers w/full 2"+ exhaust -Snider Stage III cam (I know big deal) -Drilled rotors w/Toyota 4x4 caliper upgrade -Early 72 SU carbs w/New K&N air filters -ZX 5 speed -A/C that supposedly worked -Rust free replacement hood So I have my $550 if I just keep the parts and scrap the car. My wife just shook her head. The lack of rust and it being a 5 speed really made me second guess fixing my sons rusty car. His needs some attention and now that he can drive manual, he wanted me to convert his to manual. This just seemed like less work overall. On to a few pics.
  12. Curious to why you would pull the engine and not see if you could get it running first?
  13. Good luck KTM on the decision. Rsicard, can you explain the less moving parts logic to me. I don't get that statement at all? V8's have, 2 more cylinders, 4 more valves, 4 more rockers, 4 more push rods. They both have timing chains.
  14. No worries. Now just heli-coil the block!
  15. Oh that was a PITB! Well here it is. Dirty, ugly, etc. I chased every thread. Asided from being filthy, the only thing I can tell wrong is it is missing one of the centering pins, circled in "Yellow Blue". The other pin is circled just in "Blue" as a reference. Are the two "Red" circled threaded holes stripped? The 3 "White" arrowed holes should not be threaded. They bolt through the cover. The new price is $750.00! Anway, here are the pics:
  16. No problem. The scrapper behind me was telling me to take it home and rip all the copper out and aluminum. He's like you'll get another $100. I am just out of space or I would have. I live in a deed restricted home owners association community. Fortuneately my garage is on an alley in the back! No one has said a word on my “stuffâ€. One other thing to note copper wire in insulation is going for $1.30 a pound! Wire cutters will be my new friend on our garbage runs my wife and I do together.
  17. LOL, too late. She hit the scrap yard this morning. Received a staggering $140 for her! It was cool to watch the claw grab her and finish her demise. I was able to save all the windshield trim at the last minute.
  18. If I recall, most was rusted away which got tossed. I didn't have to unscrew it!
  19. It came from Oregon, then sat in this guys back yard for 10 + years here in FL. I think the Turbo ZX I got from the same guy was almost as bad.
  20. I think this one takes it for me! Pretty darn scarry. You should see the pans! It's finally out of here after a year or so. Best thing is sitting in my yard it went up 40% in steel weight!
  21. Oh cool! First hand experience. I checked it out before I read the reviews. I was that much more impressed after reading the reviews. Thanks!
  22. Wow I forgot how bad it was. Most of the heads were gone or sheared when trying to remove them. Sorry.
  23. Argh! I thought it was on my shelf. It must have got packed in my bins. I'm sorry. If no one else can chime in quickly, I'll check this weekend. (That entails moving a whole bunch of stuff!)
  24. I'm pretty sure I've got one. How about $5 plus shipping. I'll check tonight when I get home.
