Well I sold my old car almost a year ago. I got my full asking price of 7K which was nice considering I only had $3500 in her! I've wanted one for awhile like this myself. A convertible option would be so awesome! I remember in the early 80's as a teen I saw a coveritble like yours but totally done up. It's the insurance and tags that are killing me. 2 Z's, my truck, wifes van and a motorcycle now.

You ran it out of oil and froze the motor? If you literally smoked the starter and replaced it and it still wont turn over, see if you can turn the motor over by hand. 27mm socket on the front of the motor (damper) with a big 1/2" breaker bar should easily spin the motor with the plugs out.

What kills me is they changed the FL law on motorcycle permits. No more 90 day temporary. I've had bikes off and on for years but never got my endorsement. 2 years ago they ran my buddy's tag and because they can tell if he has an endorsement or not, they pulled him over and ticketed him. I immediately got my 90 temp. Well that came and gone and now 2 years later I have to take the BRC due to the law change. Trying to go into that I will learn something. It's the $200 that is killing me being such a cheapskate.

Well, I test drove an 03 Reflex last week and was highly dissapointed. So I upgraded too a Kawasaki Ninja 250. It was so hard to have no clutch and two brakes on the handle bars. It was a very strange sensation to ride the scooter if your used to a bike. Talk about a mission to find one, wow! If there was one in Florida that was decent shape, low miles and reasonably priced they were gone! Epoxy putty, silicone RTV, whats that?! That does absolutely NOTHING if 50% of the tines are missing. Maybe if there evenly distributed all the way around the cap, but then you've just lost 50% of their holding power. As a fact, I've lost a few caps with only a few of the tines missing.

Generally great condition Swast Center caps are expensive if they are in good condition. Good condition to me is 100% of the plastic tabs are there. If the plastic back tabs are not 100% intact, I would not buy them. That was one reason I switched to the 6 spoke version because they have true spring steel retainers screwed into the plastic housing itself.

That is exactly why I switched. Those little plastic tabs on the back sheer right off if you breath on them.

I used needlenose pliers. Bend them enough to just make them into the holes. If you hear cracking stop! I've had these on the car for awhile and nothing fallen of yet. I grab them every time I see them at the JY. I must have 6 or 8 extra.
