I have an extra Automatic Transmission that I would like to store from my 280zxt parts car. What is the best method for storage for potential future use? Is it best to leave the fluid in? Drain including torque converter?
Searched but did not find anything.

First thread is LS1 cost. Others were some interesting reading, at least to me. Google search works awesome. Much faster and no need to wait the 15 seconds.
I'm thinking that it would be better to crimp the line after the NP - valve, proportioning valve, as to not lose any fluid via the valve to the rear. Thoughts?
I don't.
The front barely dribbles out, the rear was doing nothing until I realized the soft lines were off. I was trying to bleed the whole system and couldn't figure out why no fluid was moving to the rears.
There are no rear soft lines! The soft lines have rotted away and the hard lines are rusted tight. (I already snapped a rear hard line.)
I have no title and the car is a rust bucket. She will be cut up...
The rear brakes are absolute trash and I dont want to spend any money on the car.
Can I simply block off the main line from the MC going to the rear and have just front brakes only? Is there a simpler way?
I got the motor running in this parts car and now I want to see if the trans is any good. I'd like to keep the trans as a spare.
Man, I like the U-pull website, but there inventory is NEVER accurate. I searched for the car you mentioned and didn't find it.
How were the bumpers on that car?
I would agree, however, the consistancy does not make sense. I could see getting 30 PSI on some cyl and more or less on others, but not across the board if it were ring releated.
Even better news! Compression test tonight yielded a solid 145 across the board.
So the only conclussion I can determine is there wasn't enough oil pressure?
Other thoughts?
If you feel like running down to Orlando, I'll let you cut whatever you want off the parts car I have.
It will help me because I have to cut it up anyway.
I kept getting a fatal search error:
Then I tried to upload the image and I got a note stating that it didn't like my photo type *.bmp ??? Since when...
It runs!
Never did get another gauge or check it on another car, but she runs! Tank was so rusty it was scary. Had to hook up another pump altogether. I new it would run! Yeah right!
Need to change the plugs and check for vacuum leaks. The hoses were so dry rotted in some spots.
