  6. hey guys my 18" wheels are killing me on tire price so im gonna go with the 16x8 +0 002 sport max like alot of you have.. my question - Is anyone running 245/50-16 on lowerd 4" springs? i would like to try and fit a 245 tires at least because right now i have a 265/35-18 on back right now and it seems to hook pretty well despite it being a 35 series. I know your saying "your already running 265!" yes but i have 18" wheels with +40mm offset and im running a custom 1" adapter in the rear and i have rolled the lip a little. whats funny is the rear lower spring perch is under Parallel with the top of my wheel. It is very close to the tire tho. Andrew
  7. HarrisonTX what motor are you running ford or chevy?
  8. stage I 125mph L28e cold air intake, and a hose clamp on the fuel return line..approx 65 psi fuel pressure... car really ran great with that hose clamp boosting fuel pressure to the rail...heh stage II sbc 280z only 85mph CUZ TH350 BLOWS!!@!$# (see sig)
  9. Thanks for all the info guys but im going to use the 24x12x3" crossflow, seems to make for an ez install... like big phil! but i will have mine against the core support. Does anyone have any pic's of a intercooler behind a type-3 airdamn? $100 shipped ebay
  10. interesting... most SC/turbo setups ive seen the supercharger feeds the turbo but this has been on diesel apps... its going to be trial and error with this one.. What are the spec's on that turbo? compressor/turbine wheel size?
  11. These tial knock off's are now over $100... makes sense just to pay 100 more for the real deal..
  12. the quality of these "china" turbos are getting better but i sure wouldn't chance it..
  13. Looks great man, what size intercooler is that?
  14. im going for 600 crank HP, what size do you recomend?
  15. here's one similar to above but this is from holset This map shows the pro-52 flowing damn near 120 The compressor wheel is 71mm and comes with a 16/cm2 exhaust housing with 70mm turbine wheel. basicly a hx55/hx40 hybrid but has newly designed wheels (2004?)and a special high flowing turbine trim. Diesel guys push this turbo to over 50 psi on a regular basis about 600hp.. but thats diesel HP. On a gas motor this is a 1000+hp turbo. There is also another hx52 turbo non "PRO" that came on volvo diesel trucks. it has a 67mm compressor wheel and a smaller shaft than the PRO52 so it cant be pushed as hard. I have a pro-52 for sale in classifieds if anyones interested
  16. Hey guys im wondering what the biggest front mount intercooler you can fit in front of the S30? Seems the 24"x12"x3" style is the biggest and easyer one to install? What size is the one your running ? thanks, Andy
  17. Hey guys, I'm removing my TH350 trans to install my camaro tremec t-5 and was wondering if my current driveshaft would work? The t-5 is is longer correct? id be happy if i had to cut down my current shaft instead of buying a whole new one.. i hope this is the case Also T-5 Output shaft spline count is 31? and Th350 is 27? im not sure if this is correct but looks like ill need to change yokes. Anyone else switch from TH350 to T-5? Andy
  18. it would beed to have some adjustability?, like you said the location of the gates are critical
  19. i have two push start buttons in my car, requires both hands at the same time to start it.. But i think the best anti theft is a fuel pump switch hidden somewhere. I did this in a (carbed) F-350 i had. i would even turn the pump off down the street so the carb would run out of fuel in front of my house..ha
  20. yeah, maybe bigger injectors more boost? should get the tires spinning into 3rd gear
  21. it really depends on how much money you want to spend. When i try to decide on hybrid swaps i goto the local pick-a-part and see what can easily be had.. If i had ALOT of money id go RB or SR without a doubt. Since i wanted the best bang for the buck i put a 350 chevy in mine... if i could do it all over again id put in '86-'95 5.0 ford or 2.3L ford l4 ,KADE from u.s. 240sx's because There are TONS of parts 15 mins down the street at pick-a-parts waiting to be had CHEAP 1jz or RB25 - 1jz beacuse parts are easy to find localy..... have you thought of 7mgt? TONS of parts. and since your going turbo anyway only a few more pounds of boost the 7mgte will make same power as 1jz check out this site http://www.racetep.com/7mgt.htm
  22. loving the car texis, i cant help but wonder what a blow thrugh setup would do vs the draw through... kinda wish i didnt pull my L28 so quick to install the chevy motor but ill try it on my next z... keep us posted on yours.... Peace
