Have you read your book? Sometimes it takes time to learn something. Im sure one of your first chapters goes over atomic numbers, basic stuff concerning neutrons and protons and how they make up the atomic mass, etc. Read that section a few more times.

Is the BOV vented to the atmosphere? Im not sure how having both a BOV (if it is vented to the atmosphere) and the orginal recirculation valve would work. One thing for certain, you dont need both.
