  1. That sounds about right for a car that pristine... curious to see pictures.
  2. Theres already been a thread like this, I think it got a good amount of responses.
  3. Thanks for the link. So after reading this Im curious if Id have to find actual IR LEDs or if I could just get a very bright headlamp and use filters to have it only transmit IR...
  4. Alright heres the project. A most of you know we cant see infrared light but most video cameras can. So I bought a VHS camcorder for the view finder and the camera. The plan is to some how hook up the video camera to the viewfinder and a power source and then set up a circuit of infrared LEDs and then mount it all on some sort of helmet. Also I took back the small LEDs back and am looking for something more powerful but still relatively cheap. Anyways, any comments would be helpful. Ill have to take the parts to a camera repair shop to see if he can tell me which wires are video, power, ground, etc. Heres the gear....
  5. I used a pipe wrench. I wasnt worried about scaring it since I had new ones with the new strut inserts. Just be careful to not scar up the actual housing. You wouldnt want to scar or warp the housing. I ended up just takeing it to les schwabs to have the gland nuts put back on. They did all 4 for like $15 or so.
  6. Its not for a car or motorcycle, itll hopefully be running on a 9v battery. I dont want to have a car battery running the LEDs.
  7. Making a really simple circuit but have a really simple question... Heres the plan, I have 5 IR LEDs that Id like to hook up in series with a 9V battery source. The specs on the LEDS are: forward voltage= 1.2V and forward current=100mA. I used an online calculator with this information and it showed to use a 33 ohm resistor to make it all work fine. Does this sound right? Anyone able to verify I was reading the results of the calculator correct? Heres the website. Used the following values in order of imput, 9V, 1.2V, 100mA, 5 LEDs. http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz Thanks for the help! I have my fundamentals of electrical engineering for mechanical engineers next fall so I guess Ill get to learn this stuff at some point.
  8. Sweet bike. Ride red! Also I dont think saying no scammers will deter a scammer.
  9. No problem!

Sounds like something I've always wanted to do, but never got around to doing

You've probably got all of the shot shells covered then, as all I have are .410, and 12 and 20 in both 2 3/4 and 3".

I definitely have some .243, and I'll double check on the .30-06.

Don't think I'll be able to help you out on the pistol rounds. I'll check through the odds and ends I've picked up from the range though.

Is it legal to ship live ammo through USPS?

  10. Perfect timing :)

    I'd forgotten about this!

I'll open up the gun safe in the morning and see what I've got. Just collecting rifle rounds? I have some pistol and shotgun stuff too if you want it.

Nothing too amazing or extravagant, but it's there if you want.

  11. You can barely see the right bracket directly below the blue wire crimp on the right. As owen said, there is a bracket that screws onto them. Ill try to find a picture.
  12. Ill take one. Makes you wonder what Nissan engineers could do with a Z now...

The original one posted doesnt look to bad if you just remove the spoiler and little scoop things.
  14. Not everything with a long hood and no butt looks like a s30.
  15. Oh, I see the tool shed in store! I actually saw my first drift charm a couple days ago. It was a little stuffed animal on the back of a basically stock civic that was lowered with a muffler.
