  1. Well my car had rear drums so it had backing plates that are bolted on to all 4 holes so you cant slip it off. I had to destroy the backing plate to get it off. (didnt remove hub) And to put them on I just slid them on since the zraceproduct brackets only have 3 holes. We pulled the hubs off my car like 4-5 years ago and I dont remember my dad and his friend did it. All I know is that there is a tool you can rent from shucks for doing it.
  2. Well I was going to try and find some in the junkyards but from what I read some are welded on, some bolted on with 4 bolts. Either way you need to take the hub off. I ended up just coughing up the money for brackets from zraceproducts.
  3. My sister texted her boyfriend from Nigeria and it was a huge bill. My parents never told me what it cost her... When Ive talked to my dad in Nigeria from the US he was on a nigerian cell phone. They use phone cards there, not sure if you could use those on your phone.
  4. It was a joke, your intake is nicer since it doesnt have egr.
  5. Where did you get those numbers from? Are you considering hes a 16 year old? Is that full coverage? Just liability? Good student discount? Those numbers are very low for full coverage.
  6. I think they look bulky. I doubt the rear will look good without the skirts. Ill look through all my pics I have to see if there are any..
  7. You need to just call your parents agent or drop by their office. Theyll give you a quote.
  8. Might want to clean the tps or make sure its in the right position, cant they go on backwards? Or it might even be your non egr intake manifold.... you better pull it off and ship it to me, Ill send you my n47 intake. :)
  9. I also live in WA and the datsun isnt considered a high performance car. But that doesnt make it cheap. My insurance as a 16/17 year old is outrageous.. for a rav4.
  10. With the right buyer sure, ~$6-7k. But not likely. Like jeff said, looks unfinished. Flares, spoiler and airdam not being painted makes it look more like a project than finished car. Id offer $4500, maybe $5000. Edit- Oooo, didnt read the posts, looks like I was close.
  11. Yeah, Ill look that up. Thanks. Im slowly drifting away from this. It seemed like a good idea over the last few weeks....
  12. Thats probably cause 1/4 throttle now is like 1/2 throttle before... not exactly those numbers but you get the point.
  13. Yeah Im kind of trying to run the benefits (atleast what I think are benefits) and downfalls of it through my head before I do anything irreversable... as I think about it more the less Im wanting to do it. Im going to sleep on it and see what I think tomorrow.. Ill probably have changed my mind, but I do that alot. Thanks for the help.
  14. Yeah I wouldnt want to leave the top open, it would have some type of bracing from side to side. I see how the radiator support plays a large role in the front ends structure.
  15. Well with persuasion of a jack and a little elbow grease the front sway bar is installed! Im going into the last few weeks of school so Im going to be limited on my time but tomorrow after school Im going to try and drop off the rear calipers to be rebuilt by a small shop an old guy runs. We had him do some brake work on the car 4 years ago (I dont remember it but my dad does) and he said hes a nice old man and is reasonably priced. I also talked to some guys up the road from him and they said when I get the calipers back theyll look brand new. Once those are done Ill finish up painting them and get them mounted.
  16. Well I actually was looking at more of what terry had done on his front end. Forgot he had done this. I dont want to cut off the sides where the headlight buckets attach, but mostly the upper radiator support, turn siginals mounts, and the pieces below it. Pretty much everything above the lower radiator support cross member. You can see where he had to weld a piece to bridge the front of the frame rails. But this wouldnt be required if I did what I explained above, and I would still have alot of the structural rigidity nissan had built into the front end. Another reason I am considering this is to be able to run a hood like terry's. This would allow me to tilt the radiator and make ducting from the grill out the hood.
  17. Do they have TV in oregon??
  18. Yeah even making simple stuff seems hard. People were wanting centerconsoles and interior pieces, jeez!!! I cant imagine trying to get all the molds made and then testing it all. It would be crazy how much theyd cost.
  19. Well I spent part of today dissassembling the front end. Removed the radiator, A/C core, hood, turnsignals, etc. Trying to "survey" it all to see what is needed. Im guessing the next step would be removing the fenders/headlight buckets, airdam.. :(
  20. None of these ever work out.
