Mate, As cool as it would be to have a L31 (I would love to stroke my turbo L28) it may be better to build an RB30DET. We live in aus and these blocks are cheap as chips here (because of all the beven/bogan (americans read this as hicks or rednecks) and there love for commodores). The RB26 head bolts straight on. This would be my choice over the SBC, just my opinion though, sorry if I got off topic.

Its strange, in australia we only get the hatch version. and i haven't seen anything bigger than the 130i (3 litre)

Why would you want a bigger flywheel? I thought the point was to get as light as you could (without being dangerous) so that the engine revved my freely?

I have been thinking and I don't think that it is a colour issue. From this angle or from the front, any 2+2 looks really nice, However when you take a direct side on shot like this It looks too long (out of proportion). I think that it is more the photography angles rather than the colours. Just my 2cents.

mate, YOU ROCK! I would like to think that was the reason. There are a lot more 2+2s over here (well a lot more for sale anyway). When I was buying mine, there was two 2 seaters and about 9 2+2s (thats was in all of australia mind you) for sale. Currently its about 4 2 seaters to 5 2+2, now you guys know how easy you have it.

(in Leighten Hewitt voice) I think LCD screens have proven themselves in modern cars. I was thinking more of a couple of 7 segment type displays or a super bright lcd or even a regular lcd with a bit of a shroud (kind of like the current speedo. Plus it cant be any worse than trying to see my current speedo at night through a smaller momo steering wheel. LOL We can't rule out a GPS too quickly, but there may be better options. Didn't know they needed really good reception, Any rebutals or confirmations on this people? That shouldn't be too much of a problem, my car takes at least 5 minutes to warm up Yeah I figured I'd need that. Me too. I had seen the autometer one before, but its in MPH and im from downunder, (sorry forgot to mention that) so it will need to be in KPH, might be just a simple change of face plate though. I killed my computer last night so am writing this from work and will probably not be able to respond to any of the posts for another week or so. But please keep all the suggestions coming. Hello Everyone, I have been a member since July 2006 when I bought my s30 2+2. (Photos in 2+2 thread http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=114716). I have seen the light regarding Searching, and have made every effort to search, search, search and it actually works quite well as there is so much info on this site. In regards to this thread, I have searched google, searched hybrid z, searched other car forums, searched hybrid z and started all over again. Unfortunately I have searched to no avail. My Question, I would like to have a digital speedo (kind of like what you see in an Rx8 or the new honda civic) which I think would work well mounted between the current speedo and the tacho just above the steering column. Now I have thought about magnets and hall sensors, but I keep finding people saying that they have calibrated their speedos with GPS. Now most of the time they are talking about a GPS handheld unit. I don't really want to mount a handheld unit in the car, (bit to large, bit to inviting to theives). What I would love to find is a GPS receiver (antennae? not sure what you call them) with a simple digital readout for your speed. Not real interested in knowing where I'm going (more fun when your just driving for the sake of driving) don't really care how great time I'm making, just want to know how fast I'm going so that I can enjoy my driving without getting into trouble. So can anyone please point me in the right direction? Even if it is to say, yeah search for this topic, or i remember a thread talking about blah. Thanks guys and girls, Back to the searching.

I found another nice colour for 2+2, this ones for sale in os-trayl-ya (thats how we pronounce it anyway) I think i like it so much mainly due to the wheels.

Well i guess i didnt mention that i do audio recording, so archives of that take up one 200 gig hardrive (I like wav), the 80 gig hardrive is for working, and the other is 120 is for my videos (z videos, rides, topgear, etc) So yeah I guess that is a bit sick. Easy to fill hardrives though, I remember back in 1997 I got a computer with a 4 gig harddrive, man I had a top of the line computer then. I thought i could never possibly fill all that (and with a 56k modem i probably couldnt).

HA! I like it, thats one nice hybrid computer. Question, why two computers in one Desk? Suggestion, USB is so much more handy if its on the outside. Also I have my computer set up so that it responds to a password startup, i.e. in the BIOS i have just set it up so that I type a password on the keyboard and the computer starts. That way you wouldn't need to open the draw to start the computer. I have three for one computer, so I think that is justifiable. Just imagine how many car videos you could fit on there. I would hate to see the emi and rf coming from those comps with no faraday cage around them.
