  1. I quite like the vent, I think that area is too large to not have anything breaking it up. The mustang vent would look ok (especially with some boxy flares), but you may have a hard time fitting them because they have a larger area (no quarter window) than we do.
  2. Strokin77 posted this 14 hours ago http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=128617&highlight=wheel (Sorry, offset may be wrong, not sure)
  3. A jada 240z model. Can't quite fit in it, but damn its nice. The real present was a coffee grinder which in a way goes towards keeping me awake longer during the day so that I can devote more time to the Z. (Yeah I know that was a stretch).
  4. Wow Cold fusion. Great job mate. Looks like the trying of your patience really paid off.
  5. 10 - 15, it is currently not running and I want to spend another 20k on it. My wife is trying to find out what she needs to do to have me "Committed". She says: "It's for your own good".
  6. That body kit is so damn big, I think there is probably about 6k of materials in it.
  7. yeah, very nice with those wheels. I have always been a fan of the original green (yes I know its a 2+2) Still like your orange though, think it looks nicer than red
  8. Man, I know what you went through, I have done that myself. It hurt to wear underwear for the rest of the day/night.
  9. Cheers, I am not sure where the air dam came from, but I will try and find out for you. The guy I bought the car off was a member here and on a couple of the other forums, so I will try and track him down.
  10. I remember recieving an email of the VW Passat factory a couple of years ago. It was truly amazing, makes the GTR factory look dirty. This thing had wooden floors and conveyours like at the airport but with wood not plastic, the cars were at a height that you were always standing at an ergonomic height to work properly. It was a lot more impressive than what I can explain. I will try and dig up the powerpoint, Truly amazing
  11. I'm running 17x7s (not sure what offset, i think 0) with 235, 45s. I'll try and take a picture next week showing how much room i have, but I think i could go another inch - 3/4 inch out and about the same in. I'm at stock ride height though.
  12. probably not my dumbest but up there with the best. Driving my car (not the Z) to work this morning it was vibrating pretty bad. I knew the engine mounts were on their way out and figured maybe one of them had busted. I continued to drive and it continued to get worse. I decided, stuff it, I'm only 10 mins from work I will ride it out. In the next 10 mins I figured, this is too bad for engine mounts (had to slow down to 80km/h on a 100km/h highway) and was thinking maybe I hadn't tightened something when I replaced the front suspension. Well I made it to work and thats when it hit me. Yep, lug nuts were loose. I had just driven 25 kms with lug nuts that had slowly worked them selves loose. The worse wheel was the front passenger which only had two nuts left (at least they were opposite). Man I felt stupid after that one.
  13. Please do. Is there a right up on this anywhere? EDIT: Sorry, foot in mouth. I did a search and it looks like there is, so I will go away with my tail between my legs and read a bit first.
  14. Is this the sort of links your after http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=124935 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=123149 http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=109476 I'm sure there are other guys doing it, but he is the only one that comes to mind. His screen name is "Stony", just do a search on threads started by him, and get a cup of coffee first, because there is a lot of good information there.
  15. wow, much better, might do the same thing for my fronts
  16. how much weight do you think the sound deadner will add? obviously your going for the comfortable (i.e. quiet) ride, just wondering thats all.
  17. I was thinking, how are they mounted normally. I couldn't remember, so I went out to the car to check. I don't have them. (Aus delivered 2+2). so I guess maybe other people are in the same boat.
  18. Man I wish I could just download the knowledge of some of you guys into my mind. It astounds me how much some of you guys know.
  19. I almost wet myself when I read that, and that would be very bad especially since I'm at work.
  20. good work, but why didn't you sand and paint the rusty arm, or is it just the photo?
  21. mate his post was from 2001, i think that is a good indication to why his link is no longer working
  22. Wow, Looks great, congrats. Speaking of wheels, This is the signature for Jdizzy204. Check out the wheels on the ZG, They are CCW Classics and in my opinion look SOOOO good, my current favourite wheel. I know you don't have flares but you may be able to get something with a bit less offset.
  23. yeah you can't tease us like that
  24. I work for a Engineering Consultant. We do the design for capital projects. At the moment the project I am working on is a Copper/Gold processing plant in the phillipines, doing the electrical design from the point of supply to the final drives. The only mining engineers I have come across is the ones on the actuall mine sites. There are plenty of mines over here, but most are in remote areas. (Working in a design office we work out of a major city and only go to site for visits or construction/comissioning). At the moment in Australia there is a huge lack of engineers over here, especially in Western Australia. Send us a message if you want to know anything specific.
  25. Great, Now how much for a model 2+2 (please no flaming). All the models seem to be 240z's which are really cool, and I have several, but I would also love a 2+2.
