Hi everyone, Im just writting this to show what i have done to shorten my shifter bracket so it can poke through in the cab its basicly free if you weld. So here are the pictures i took. First we have the original brace marked for the cutting. Then I cut completely the shaft form the linkage. Then rewelded everything at work grinded and painted. You will have the grind a little under the brace so that it doesnt hit the linkage. The linkage shorten and welded. The underside of it all. Top view. Basiclly I just cuted then reweld in between the "legs" easy as 123. I wish i had kept the picture of when I had it cutted Ill search for them and post them later if i find them. Hope it helps some else for a cheap almost free solution to shifter relocation.

One uses the MAF sensor the other is MAP sensor. The MAP sensor is the most expensive unit. The general consensus is that they are both pretty easy to tune if you know what your doing.

^^ Did you swap that whole thing in the long nose ? What custom axels did you end up using ?

I chose the garrett because i didnt want to buy the real deal blitz hks greddy unit so i went half and half since the chinese core had mixed review. Most members here that have ebay coolers will tell you they work great and i believe them the pressure lose arent that bad from what i read. I dont think you will be disapointed.

I paid around 600$ and its the standered size 24x12x3 i think im not sure i cant see my past purchases on ebay anymore.

Except from the pin numbers that might be diffrent form a RB25 to RB26 can i just follow the same wiring connection. All the other wires form the rb26 ECU plug can be cut off or just left alone. Im trying to start this but im nervous to cut stuff I shouldnt.

N62 are for more HP potential. On my RB26 setup im using twin J60 green label rb25 maf they are good for 600hp maybe more and they were cheaper then twin N62. Some use a ford lightning MAF with Nistune it is a 90mm MAF and a single one is rated at well over 600hp.

Dash companies charges upward of 1k$ a cap looks so so, the foam repair can be good but you need a good prep and as mentioned you take your time to do it right. For my part im trying to do a half alcantra cover half original dash. I am also wondring if a flexible paint like plastidip could work. IMO if you want a quick fix and a good looking dash get a 240sx dash and call it a day.

Thank you ! its a U joint. I am french canadien and sometimes we dont even have terms in french for those things and i didnt even had a clue what to call it. This part is located on the tranny itself it connects the shifter stick to the gear box lever that switches the gears.

Do you lose the reading when your underground or in tunnels ? like sat radio ?

Hi im trying to figure out what is the name for this cross bearing I need to get a new one for my Z32 tranny bracket and i didnt know how to remove it so i forced it out and the cup bearings came off and i lost some of the rollers inside. If some one know how to install remove these I am open to suggestions because they seem to be press fitted. Thank you

Sorry to bring this back up but for those that search for this I measured the lenght you need to have the shifter in the center of the Datsun's hole. From center of motor mounts on the crossmember. You have 47" inches to center if like me you use Mckinney mounts and a RB26 bellhousing on a Z32 tranny then the original lenght without shiter mods is 51 7/8 inches. So if you count that the hole is 7" more or less long you have a max lenght of around 50" but i dont think at 50" you will be able to shift smoothly it is just the max lenght for the shifter to poke through. It helps yes its more the second picture the white plastic behind the heater seems to be made to protect the wires from the tubes coming from engine bay side.

Hi, I need a picture of where the wiring harness is placed inside the car when the carpet the dash and heater is removed I forgot to take some when I took it all out for body repair. I want to see where it passes and where does the damn white plastic corner thing goes hehe. Thank you I searched but its hard to find any and the FSM doesnt show it. I have a 280z 1978. Non AC.

I don't think it has been answered yet but the question still stands. Since then most people pony up the cash and go R230 with custom shafts kit from MM. BTW good on you for searching even if its 6 years old.hehe

I always try to see a z in every 80s movies 90 % of them when they have anykind of driving has one somewhere.
