  1. Be nice if it were as easy to build in real life as it is in the Computer! Yes the "Z" in the Dash is to keep your Zhit from sliding around! LOL! Bored on a Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kevin
  2. Yeah I saw his website and watched a few of his Videos! He makes some NICE STUFF! Easier/more cost effective to CNC a Prototype from WOOD than our materials! Just wasn't sure if that was a Pattern for a CAST Pan or not! I was on that site last night! Seems they may have lost lots of their Threads or Something, cause lot's of information seems to be missing! Kevin
  3. Hey Alex: We are not Worthy!!!! Honestly Buddy I a struggling on the ethical side of using this CAR/shell/chassis for this Purpose! One of my All time Favorite cars I will own one day is a Porsche 935! See the irony here? Guys for those that have no Idea what I am talking about above, the car's build date is 01/70 it's #935 to roll off the assembly line! I was thinking about the Oil Pan Issue last night, and it may be as simple as sectioning the Stock 3.5/3.7ltr pans! It's already rear sump, but like my We we, a little short at times! The front and rear of the Pan is probably the same on the I5 as it is on the I6, simply cut and add a section to make the Pan Longer! We then should have a I6 ready to drop in and Fab up Motor Mounts! Dan? Was the router Photo of the Pan and article some place? Those guys going to Cast a new PAN? Kevin
  4. Hey Frank I Disagree! This is Pure Sickness! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kevin
  5. Hell I wishhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, but We be shaking that bush Boss! Kevin
  6. It's called Alibre, and, It has a FREE Version! Check them out! If you download it please use us as a reference please! To me it gives a much more realistic view of the parts than some of the really expensive CAD programs! It does have some limitations though! Kevin
  7. The Chevy I6 Manifold came in, and I pulled all the Dimensional information off it, and here is the results! I am doing a whole new deal for us, going away from the WEBER style 90/120mm base plates and I designed a single base plate on the 103mm stock bore spacing. You have your Choice of Injector locations, Stock Injector location, ITB body Location or you can run Staged injection from the ITB or the Horn location in conjunction with the Stock Injector location!! Single Base Plate allows for a Series coupled shafts and a center throttle Cable Pull location! Was going to pick up the new Z today, but of course we are having $hitty weather here! Kevin
  8. Guys I order a I6 Manifold off Fleebay, so I will have a Jump on the Head Plates for those wanting to build a Custom Turbo Manifold, or God forbid run ITB's! LOL! Also why is everyone worring about the Oil pan? I'm worried about the Transfer case! Hahahaha! Wouldn't that be a Hoot? FWD Spindles, coil overs, drivers seat on the roof? hahaha! Put the Crack pipe down and back away slowly! Kevin
  9. It's looking like the Engine is the economical part, the Trans adaption is the Costly part! The Bell Housing's from the Dealer are not cheap at all! Just happen to have a R154 in the shop! Wondering if the W58's with the Steel Bearing plates would be a better option maybe? Anyone? Their were lots more of those Transmissions made than the R154! Kevin
  10. That's what I love about this SITE! Always better when you have more than 1 pair of eyes looking! Kevin
  11. Guys: If you go to chevy's website and try to "Build your own" options for 2007 or 2008 you can not get the I5 in a Manual Transmission! May be in Fleet format it may be offered not sure! I saw the Parts.com deal and wonder if it's not just a Catch all and 80% of those 5 speeds listed for sale are 2.9? Kevin
  12. Sure it would! The same concept works just the the Ford 302 below! ITB's could be reversed as well so the Injectors are on the below the ITB's as well. All depends on runner length! Kevin
  13. Ok I believe you! show me a 5cyl manual for sale some place! or a 5 cylinder tranny for sale! K
  14. Mack: We're there buddy, all it takes is a little Green stampage and a couple of weeks! It's not going to happen with Electronic Throttle control however! Kevin
  15. Well from what I can gather, the i5 is not offered in Manual either? Especially the 3.7ltr i5's. The number 1 complaint on the i5 and i6's is transmission problems, and they are all automatic issues too! Here's a comparison of the i4 Manual and i6 Auto crank patterns! They both have 8 bolts, but the i6 looks to have a large machined opening for a pilot bearing to me and the bolt circle looks larger as well? Kevin
  16. Hey Guys! I have been trying to get on that inliners board and it is DOWN! Some thing's I have found out: 1. New I4 Canyon Bell Housing is $552.66 not counting and Discount #8904-8229 2. New I4 Flywheel is $247.42 #8906-0406 No discounts. Called local GM Parts desk for those numbers! From what I have seen the 4L60E is the number "1" Piss, moan, and Groan! So that would suggest the i6 Torque is eating those transmissions to me! DAN?????????????????????????? Where ae ya here? Hahaha! Kevin
  17. Retail: It will be about the same as the Nissan TB48 Manifold/ITB Kits! $600 for the Manifold. $1249 ITB kit is the Same price for a 6 cylinder. $150 Linkage kit. Electronics price is TBA! We are looking for Dealers as well! Kevin
  18. Yes I agree! I'm feeling a little redhead here, don't you need a Step Child? Nice work Man! Kevin
  19. What the ITB's or the Channel Locks Pinching the coolant line off, so as to not make a mess all over the Shop? Thanks man for the kind words! Just wait till we are finished with all the other parts! The Guys at "splitsec" seem to believe they can pull this "MAF to Density" off with excellent results! We will see! Kevin
  20. Well here's a little Update on the M50 2.5ltr motor conversion!! Plates are done, all measurements complete, now Tig weld up the Manifold and bolt it all together! The Injectors are going to PICO's as this is just Mandatory on this motor! If the Oil Filter were in any other location injectors could be placed below the ITB's for a much straighter approach into the Ports! As it stands now the Head plate sits on the motor at 30 degrees to Horizontal and the ITB plate sits at 60 degrees to horizontal, not ideal.............. but will let the DYNO tells us what we need to do if anything different! As it stands now the running length will be in the 6.5" Range, may need to add some to it to pick up the bottom end, but here again will wait and see what the DYNO says! Base line on this motor was 171/163 hp/tq at the wheels! 1 Correction to a previous post! WE WILL NOT BE WORKING WITH MAF TRANSLATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Split Second seems to be much easier and eager to build products for the BMW Crowd! We are still trying to pull this off without a MAF sensor, and using the PSC1 unit they have! Kevin
  21. Yes I agree! The oil pan-xmember will be the biggest issue I'm afraid! Force fed? That will be a natural progression I'm sure we will head with the Project! I have a Good Friend that's been living in China the last 3 years BUILDING EFi software and Hardware for a Company there! He's ready to come home and bring his Technology with him! They currently have 1 ECU that runs 2 seperate Fuel systems! Currently running STRAIGHT Ethanol, and straight Gasoline in each system! The ECU can switch between the 2 different fuels where you can't tell it, and has met the Euro4 Emission drive Cycle tests with the ECU! It's pretty impressive feat! It has some draw backs like lack of Coil Drivers, but is being redesigned to work on V8, sequential Fuel and Spark, so it will be neat to play with! Work on the BMW is Progressing today, so hopefully get it done and out of the way to move Forward! Kevin
  22. Snow Performance has one as well! K
  23. Make one! Just one of the advantages of being a Manufacturer! The Aluminum Fly wheel Specialists would probably be interested in it as well............... Fidanza maybe??????????? Kevin
