  1. Well in Reynolds Ga. at the Shootout some guys out of Atlanta had one, the Heavy Convertible no less, with just a Chip, and new down pipes turning some Damn Impressive times I thought! Kevin
  2. We have not measured it as of yet, some Research on it looks as if the Intake Manifold was one of the biggest issues, so going with ITB's from Jump Street will negate part of that! The largest obstical I see is the X-Member, and Front Sump vs rear sump issue!! Our BMW Project Car has to be completed first, so we are 30 to 45 days from dropping a motor into the chassis for sure, but if any of you guys have these motors in a New Vehicle PLEASE post some Actual Dimensions! Thanks! Kevin
  3. Hey Guys: It's official this is the Direction we intend to take for the New Z Project! Need input and Help for sure! SPECS: Engine: will be the Chevy Vortec 4200, running ITB's in a N/A mode to start! Trans: Supra R154 mainly because I have one in the shop, has some bad Syncros, but is buildable. Need input there for sure or someone want to Build it for me. Rear end: is a R200. Let the input begin! Kevin
  4. Extrudabody Items QtySKUDescriptionPriceTotalRemove FWA-1Throttle Mount, Firewall $8.00 $8.00Remove TCA-48Throttle Cable, 48" $20.00 $20.00 Sub-Total $28.00Extrudabody ESTIMATED TOTAL$28.00 Pull the Pedal, drill the welded pin out to 1/4" hole, drill 2 holes through a 3/4" 1/2" x 3/8" piece of Aluminum, 1 hole is 1/4" to match Pedal hole, the other is 1/16 for the Cable Wire! The Alminum piece acts like a Pivot, bolt the Aluminum piece to the drilled pedal, with a 1/4" bolt with 2 x 1/4" nuts jambed against both side of the Pedal rod to give a little play in the Aluminum Pendelum piece! Attach Cable Adjuster to fire wall, run cable to firewall, wire thru fire wall to the Pendelum piece with! Cable clamp to adjust wire pull length, Cable Adjuster on fire wall to adjust the Cable casing length! Hope that helps! We have 38k on the same set-up, with a 1.5mm wire! Kevin
  5. Hey Fast: We can build them to your needs and build a Plenum Plate like the pictures and Link below, but designed for the Bore Spacing on the 5.6 motor! http://www.extrudabody.biz/servlet/the-199/Plenum-Plate-100mm/Detail The injector Bridges would give you Staged injection option as well if you wanted. I will give you a Call Today or you can call us 850-835-1588, direct line to my desk!! May have a 510 X-Member sale for you as well! Thanks! Kevin
  6. Uhhhhhhhhhhhh Amen!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! Guys case in point on this type of project! I made Highly Highly educated corrections to the Plenum to corret a few Problem areas and low and behold! #$%$ it all up! I just haven't had the chance to work on it in the last 4 or 5 days! It's on the To Did list for sure! Kevin
  7. Hey Man: Send me an Email here! kthornton@extrudabody.com let's see if I can help you and us out at the same time! Are you looking at running Staged injection as well? Hidden Hp there! Kevin
  8. That's correct! The Injector Pocket in the rail, and the 1/4" distances from pocket to the inner bore of the rails! It's easy to have them re-anodized! Just make sure they DO NOT OVER ETCH the Rail, as it can change the dimensions of the inner bore where the o-rings seat! With that said, you can always go to a custom O-rings as well to make up for any change in Rail bore ID and the Injector Pockets! Are you looking at Turbo or Natural Aspirated? Hope that helps! Kevin
  9. Well I can Speak from a standpoint of 1 very important advantage! Alcohol has 1 LARGE draw back, water is a major component of it's molecular make-up, hense the added 15% gasoline! You surely do not want to let it sit for long periods of time in a vehicle! PROTECTION: Everything Extrudabody makes is either Anodized or Stainless, this includes the bores, Throttle plates, and the insides of the rails, fittings Etc, all aluminum components are encapulated with an anodize coating. So with the corosive nature of this type fuel, the Extrudabody system will have advantages no other itb's will have! The only part in the entire system that is not protected is the 1/2 distance between the top of the injector to the inner bore of the fuel rail! Forgive us there, but we are simply just not large enough YET, to drill the rails then have them anodized! If we went to a multi-piece rail system it would just drive costs up, so it's a catch 22! FLOW?: Something not to be over looked is the flow numbers, 40mm's flow 216.1cfm and 45mm's flow 292cfm each! If the Economy were a little better, we could possibly know the answer to this question right Super Dan? Kevin
  10. Well I am sure you know more than I on the reliability of these units! I will pass your Post on to Joe with the Drift Team! Thanks! Kevin
  11. I see your point! and your probably correct on that from a strength stand point, Butt!!!!!!!!! cost is always a Factor! First, we are just building the Adapter plate not doing the engineering, second this swap is expensive enough as it is, and if the person has the transmission already this helps to reduce the cost of the swap! Kevin
  12. Trust me it's being worked on night and day just about, trying to get the Car ready for the Drift Season! Plates will be in the $650 to $750 range, depending on a first run batch of # of people interested! Clutch/flywheel options is the issue at the moment!! Kevin
  13. Thanks to Jeff: Here's a first try, which only has .6psi pressure drop, but I am sure Jeff could elaborate more on this! He also has another design he will be testing to see if we improved on this or we #$%$ it up completely!
  14. Hey Guys: 1 Adapter and it bolts directly to DCOE Carbs as well! Cold air fed and Balanced Flow is good for what ails you! Kevin
  15. First and Foremost! Don't thank me, thank Jeff, Tony and Super Dan! They have help us more than you can imagine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Prox we have a ton of stuff going on here, and we are trying to get something out there for the 6 cylinders, as we are working diligently on it! We are also working on Flathead's, Rotory's, Nissan's, OEM projects! LOL! Please bare with us guys! Our CAD system is different than Jeff's so I am hoping he can take our CAD files and do a simulation on it! Kevin
  16. Thanks For the Interest! Joe is working out all those details now! It will be a complete package or buy it in parts as the customer sees fit! Our Main Goal here is trying to gather or Judge Interest!!!!!!!!! Without lots of interest, we will just leave it alone, lot's of R&D costs here and MAINLY Tooling to consider if we produce it or NOT! so you may want to spread the word! Thanks! Kevin
  17. Hey Guys: Here's a Plenum Model we are trying to work out the details on, and before the daggers start to fly, we have been talking with and getting Jeff's input on this behind the scenes in hopes to bring it forth into Production. The approach we are trying to take is from a "CAST" Perspective, and not a custom solution this will help keep Cost's in check and affordable! Our Main Goal is 2 fold, a Balanced Normally Aspirated Engine being fed COLD air and Forced induction, from a cost stand point! Stay tuned as I am trying to get the Files to Jeff so he can run a FLOW/Distribution analysis on it! This is a 3 Part Plenum based on our Plenum Plates and a Cover like we have produced in the past on a Custom basis! The Difuser is an Extrusion and just welded/bolted to the inside of the Cover! Again we are coming from the point of building a plenum that #1 Works to evenily Balance/Distribute Air flow and Cost, so some parts/looks will not be optimal! Now the Input! Thanks! Kevin
  18. I like it! Really cleans up the Front end to me! K
  19. Thanks for the Kind words Evan! We can design just about anything on a custom Basis, but need to build 10 of them to make the CNC Machine happy, or should I say Owner of the CNC Machine! If anyone has a CNC project or is in need of CAD Design work, and it can benefit the Group then by all means drop me a line! I will look at it and give my opinion! Free lance design work is fun to me, if I have the time! Thanks! Kevin
  20. Well Joe is working out the rest of the Clutch install so it can be mated directly to a 6 speed box using a Clutchmasters, twin disk clutch! see below! Auto Flex plate is for the Titan. It is a special flywheel. But it is a simple unit. It deletes the starter ring gear and trigger wheel. It is designed to be used with the G35/350z. The twin plate design is made so that you are supposed to use the G35 auto flex plate. We are simply swapping it with the Titan one so that we can pick up trigger for the V8 instead of the V6. Joe" Hope that helps! Kevin
  21. Hey Guys: The Atlanta Drift Team is getting a little Closer! Check out the 6 Speed Transmission Adapter! Does the Adapter interest anyone?
  22. Beg to differ on the Aftermarket support! We have a Drift team Dropping the VK into a G35 with ITB's and mated to the 6 speed gear box! Is anyone interested in an Adapter Plate? Kevin
  23. We just picked up a 95 325is, and we are developing a bolt on "NO MAF" stock ECU ITB set-up for these motors! Working with the guys at MAF Translator to convert the car to Speed Density! Stay Tunned! Kevin
