fuel cell will have a filler that goes behind the licence plate.

Here are pics of the fuel cell i framed in and should be able to still seal out exaust gases with a little seam sealer or silicone,

I painted the car first with ppg dplf epoxy primer to seal it it, then k36 on top of that then a guide cote to find any small dents or imperfections finding a clean shell shure makes things easy i didnt have to weld on the chasis but it was only to fill in holes or gaps no rust =)

I have not Been a avid poster but I do get on daily and read alot of posts. I love the info here and have learned alot here. The whole car was striped down to bare metal cleaned all the holes were shave rear bumper,marker lights, door handles, rear hatch only thing I have not shaved and cant decide on is the drip rails. I have a c6 vett motor with a built viper transmission converted to a corvette bellhousing ect. The viper tranny is shorter and let me pull the motor back even further. I used the stock vette motor mounts and made custom motor mounts, they were welded on and smothed in They turned out sooper beefy and I think they add a great amount of strength and support. The stock cross member still bolts in and fits and the ears hanging down are just as far down as the front cross member so clearence should not be a problem. This is what I have done so far I stripped the car down to metal and shaved and closed up some holes

I just made custom ls1 mounts that are now apart of the car and shaved in with the rest of the motor compartment, I am using willwood reverve mount pedals so nothing will be in the engine bay, battery will be in the back. you can hardley tell from a distence the thickening of the frame rail I cant wait to shoot this =)

looks just like what im doing I took all the vinal and foam off my dasha and I am going to wrap it in carbon fiber and smooth it out, but I am trying to figure out how to put holes and vents for the defrost.

One thing you could do, go buy sheet metal and tin snips trace all the holes onto the metal cut them out and call mobile welder have all the preices ready wouldnt take him more then a hour and couldnt cost to much.. what ever you use you have to get paint to stick I dont know how well paint sticks to jb weld?

there are a lot of moving parts in there, pull the door panel off losen the bolts that hold it in there to give it some movment and try to get her back in track, but i usually find guides gone the rollers gone or somthing along those lines.

I agree with buzzy the slant of the road will do that try it in a parking lot that really flat

does anyone know what amount of spacing would be needed to fit a 350z style wheel ? or is there a offset calculator I have not seen ?

what part do you think is going to break ? unless somthing comes loose I dont see it ripping the metal apart. I do beleive the wheel would break first.

I am on a wheel search and I like the 350z wheels and I would like to put them on my z, I have seen these spacers and was wondering if anyone else had luck with them and if the fittment would be ok. all you need to do is invent a car cover that charges the batteries... using the same technology as these rv ones... drive to work... put the car cover on and when you get done with work your car cover has refilled the car for you ... I think your on to somthing =)

What if you put a electric fan on your car that way the fan would never run (until it needs to) and the car would warm up quicker.. or get a remote start and start the car before you get out there and if you do both your problem will be solved.

looking good, I used to have a 350 twin turbo... I like the utec and it was very nice... sold it to my friend and he went with the hks fcon wich is stand alone but might use parts of the 350z harness... anyhow .. I had the greddy kit and it looks like you have more room then the 350z and that would just go in with ease.. I got 505 whp on a dynojet on stock internals and drove the piss out of it.. Im putting a ls1 in my 260z, but look at your project and really wish I had the vq with twin 18g's man that motor is ment for twin turbos. =)
