I plan on beating on the car. It is not a cream puff, it is not being built to be a cream puff...... I plan on eventually using this car for Time Attack. FIRST I have to get used to the car. With a COMPLETE new drivetrain it could take some time as I have other things in my life that take priority ( family, business). With that said I don't know too many people that can abuse vehicles like me..... I once severed the cab of my truck from 6 of 8 body mounts, destroyed 3 transmissions, and blew up a rear diff....all within a 3 year period...... I have a tendency to push things. Hell yesterday I was roll racing on the highway with my LIFTED crew max Tundra.......lol I have a feeling that I will be tearing this apart due to usage fatigue.... I am going to have over 600whp on tap I am expecting to break things......

Shame on you for not displaying finished pieces........ lol.. keep it up my car is waiting in line on these pieces to start fab !1

I have a guy in Kingwood that is the shit if you need someone. He has done many top finishers for show cars

Well then... I happen to be in town, Spring to be exact....... now a days I keep the drinks to a few only one day a week so I should go light on you.

The guy building the car is family actually. He used to make me hit my head against the roll bar in his 280 when it was turbo'd...... I was in Nac from 95 through 2000

I am in the process of trying to build some LED tail lights. I have a few spares that I am going to mutilate...... as far as the headlights. I would change the projector to a Miromoto unit or something similar for good light distribution. I had some LED projectors molded into my Tundra headlights along with a few other additions. I couldn't be happier.... -
LOL.... that is very funny I know someone who just bought their whole set up from there as well ( he is building a 77 280Z). They got it with a Magnum T56 as well. He is supposed to go up there and pick it up any day now. Mast is cool, if they were there when I was in school at SFA I would have not had enough money to go out !!!!! Man that town has changed.

It was parked due to a title issue. It was some dude's car, then sold to the brother of the guy I bought it from. Said brother had parked it at the location I bought it at. He died about 10+ years ago and it was never titled due to the potential of it getting taken. I am working with a lawyer now to get the title straightened out. It was 100% functional and driving. The engine still turns over without issue. I am going to at least try and get it to turn over after changing out the fluids and plugs. I literally have no room. My 240 is due back in August.........I am already parking my truck in the driveway and REFUSE to park any of the sports cars outside!!!! ( even though my truck is a '13) This would make someone a "Tits" track car. I am now just getting into it.

The plan is to clean it up. Drain the fluids, change plugs, flush the gas tank and get it running. Then flip it. I want to use the funds to finish the S30, and put the rest back. I am in line for another one, but this is a 84 911 turbo that is far from stock.

It has only been in the yard for a few years. It was stored in a warehouse for most of the time. It even has the original tires......

I am hours away from purchasing a 1983 911 Turbo Barn find. I stumbled upon this gem during a conversation with a guy I am doing some work with. I do not intend to keep it for long but flip it for some cash and get it to a good home and back on the road. This car is a 2 owner vehicle that has not been on the road for 20+ years. Part of me wants to keep it but I need to finish the Z and this will do nothing but distract me....... I do plan on owning one in the future. It feels funny becoming a Porsche owner..... It is a 1983 911 Turbo with just over 20,000 miles on the clock. Yes a very low mile car.

Well done. What gear are you running ? Transmission? Were you feeling any lift in the front end at top speed? Fiberglass flex? -
study as I have said before. Get that done first. these parts can wait.

That is what she said.... -
Lol you guys get butt hurt over the most trivial things. Armchair coaches have always been funny to watch and listen to.

If you were to read previously in the post Will had a Baja event to go to for school as he was a part of the build team. He was trying to get things wrapped up prior to his other obligations with family, school, and work. (The more important things in life) You a re correct he has a version of this set up on his car but it is not the one he is coming to market with. He has made several improvements and wanted to show them. I am fine with waiting, as I am the one funding the parts and labor at this point, so shouldn't you be too? Just be patient.

Large 17" tires, 295 and above...... no more
texis30O replied to texis30O's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I am going with a full custom set of wheels. ( maybe some cheepos at first) I would like to keep the car as balanced as possible. ( it might turn into a time attack car) I ditched the EvilC plan as I have swapped from 4 lug to 5 lug....... I am using his wheel sizes as a starting point. -
You have a PM

I am going with all Speedhut gauges. ktm is right, I seem to be purchasing around 8 gauges.........

I admit I did not complete my due diligence prior to posting. It is getting close to the end of a 7+ year build and I am closing out a lot of loose ends. -

texis30O replied to texis30O's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Sorry I should have been more specific. Larger tires with a 40 sidewall and a 17" diameter. I know that there are other options out there with 35 series sidewalls. I will be going with a 35 series sidewall. -
Good to see you are still putting quality parts on the market. I am still trying to work through things with getting my bucket of bolts on the road, let alone get the exterior options wrapped up.

We like photos! Hell I like packages better!! lol... No need to rush now. Just make sure it is right.... remember the last time I "built" a vehicle I went through 4 transmissions, 1 rearend, and severed 6 of 8 body mounts from the cab of the truck..... I only had it for 4 years...... ( all be it a Chevy SWB Z71 lifted on 35" tires) anyway my point is that in my mind if it is build to go then I will push it!!!! I have faith in you.
