  1. Man tha thing is gonna be really slowwwww.......
  2. Nicely done. Did you use 12" material for your rafters? I would think that they would be the only material that would span the distance needed in order to not sag in the future.
  3. It pains me to see this for sale within driving distance from my house....I would love to pick it up but I am a newly expecting father and can't swing the purchase. Good luck. This is by far the sexiest kit for a Z. G/L with the sale...
  4. I would have sent the bumpers back and asked that they do better quality control on their products. If you are spending the money that they are asking for the bumpers then you should get what you pay for. Quality.
  5. There is one more that I know of in Cali somewhere. I am wondering if this is a nationwide thing? If so I wonder if there is an event in Houston that I am missing....
  6. I am in Humble....I am about to start putting parts on the car and redoing some things.....any of you guys in the area ? Not asking for help just seeing if there are any others in the area....
  7. This is the swap that I want to do on my 77 when I get it...
  8. That is the cleanest yellow Z around. End of story. It is a Lambo yellow. propperly done.
  9. ditto on the rear tilt. Won't that put unnecxessary pressure on the tranny and the linkage?
  10. I will have to get pics of my uncle's lift when I am over there next week. He just added a new single bay metal framed garage with a lift. The man is crazy. Although I will be doing this in my next house as well. It is a commercial styld lift that will pick up his LX460 and his prowler. It has a low ground clearance so that it will lift where you put the arms. It is not a drive up lift. Gives easy acess to in and out and underneath.
  11. yes I did, and still do. I have thought about the E85 conversion but have not done anything for it yet. I still need to work out a few kinks. I am about to send my turbo off to get freshened, remove my intake and exhaust manifolds to get them refinished and welded. Then it is waiting to get a Electromotive XDi system for the car. It already has water injection on it so I could just use that system and make a fw changes. But all of this takes money and well that is really tight with me right now. I am just haveing to work with what I have currently....
  12. I am curious what I could do with my set-up. I would keep it at 15lbs. and put a little 110 in the tank to help with detionation.......I am a carb'd turbo set-up....
  13. give a heads up next time you go out there I might make the trek out there......if I am up and running....
  14. yeah....we might want to re-think the Tegris stuff.....for a sheet of 4'x6' is $900.00....yes 900.00
  15. Where would one pickup such a "animal" ? I guess that I could start by contacting some of the motorsport teams in NASCAR? or the Busch Series.... I gave Milliken a call so I am waiting to see what they say, where to buy, how much....
  16. That is the biggest tb I have ever seen.......how bad is the lag going to be?
  17. I am interested as well. This is the last thing that I need to do. I am about to scrap my OEM unit that was "added to" in the late 70's. It is on its' last legs.
  18. good to see some locals on the forum......
  19. you got any extra laying around you shop. You guys do some nice work....Thanks for the info. I think I am going to pick up the 16 ga piece next week some time. I can always use the rest for other things that I want to do anyway.......
  20. I can get a sheet of 4x10 for about 197.00 for something in a 14 gauge thickness but I don't know if that would be thick enough....that is all that I need to know......other wise I am about to start....
  21. I looked through the thread and did not see anywhere that he stated the thickness of the splitter.
  22. Has there been any progress on the splitter? I am tryin to round up all the materials that I will need so that I can get started on my car. I am fabin' up a few other changes to some pieces that I have for my car. I am trying to get it all together in the next few weeks. I am taking a "working" vacation on the car.......
  23. I am going to build my own splitter/belly pan on my car. In the coming few weeks I am going to install my fiberglass hood cut vents for it, install front airdamn and do some custom fiberglass work on it as well. While I am putting on these pieces I am going to make my own splitter that will mount directly under the airdamn and extend to at least the crossmember where the steering rack is located. I need to know what thickness I need to use so that it will be able to withstand the forces of the wind as well as maybe some road debris..........Iam not afraid to tackle this on my own because I think it is fairly simple but I need some direction as to the material to use. I am wanting to use Aluminum......My current options are .040 , 16 gauge, and 14gauge........Anyone have any suggestions?
  24. I want to redo mine. I had mandrel bends ordered form online and sent to me but I am not happy with the fabing that the guy did for me.......
