i do not own a tv--i find stuff out from friends who listen to kogo----600AM radio......i get to try to breathe with asthmatic lungs the ashes and smoke from yo guyz's homes------i am sooooooo sorry you guyz who had fire problems had to go thru this .........it is massive, at best...........

here is what i get to breathe and watch here in the bay of sandy ague-o, fire storm capitol of the world....... the ones with the bridge in them are sunrises, the others are sunsets-----beeeeyoootifuuuulllll because of the massive amounts of smoke in the air.....verrrry unhealthy to breathe in your burning homes.....i am soooooo verrry sorry that you guyz have homes in the area:frown:----nothing is as scary as having your home in danger......good luck, all.........

i went thru the same exact thing you are being tortured with..........i did all the geek stuff including restore and then erasing all and starting over-----all i needwed to do was get a reliable connection.......much cheeper than starting over..........try it..........

my lappy was running crappy until i lost my isp----ricochet left sandy acho and i was incommunicado-----i looked around----i am not able to hook up to any cable or satelite service as i do not resider on land or in a house or at a marina.........so i tried various methods of internet hookup-----broadband card is the answer---unless there is free wiifi nearby...........but the ISP is important......some are dead slow..........

mike--first i have heard of this--ya shudda emailed me----i can answer questions well, as i did icu/er/pacu nursing for 30 years---whew--her recovery is good---- spinal shock--often reverses with time and rest and particular meds, thank god...........scary as hell for all--particularly the patient.......glad progress is happening.........

long beach grand prix has had usac, f1 and indy running over the course of lbgp history. the usac/champ cars were introduced to lbgp because the orgamnisers of lbgp didnot want to pay for the f1 cars transpo and per diem any more.....so they got a suchadeal onastreet race.....and brought in indy/champ/usac.........lots of politics in there and stir---new improved lbgp----which i think is not as fun as was the original lbgp.yes, i know the difference, having done course work during their various races at riverside raceway, long beach, all the f1 races in this country except dallas until 1988...and laguna seca and sfr scca/imsa/etc....gawd, that was fun........DAMMIT,HOOV---WHY DIDNT CHA TELL ME YOU WERE GOING?????????????IDA GIVEN YA A LIST.....you know---who to do, where to see, what to eat....yada yada yada.....you rock, dude!!!!!!!!.....

what datsunlover said and then some! as for distractions while driving----there are those of us who are able to multitask and there are those of us who are not able to multitask. the problem is understanding, when one is not as multitasker, that talking on the phone and driving are two separate tasks. same with men shaving their beards on the freeway and women putting on makeup at the red lite and while driving on the freeway. there are many gripes, but the reality is , although many can mulltitask without leaving a wake of death and destruction, there are those who cannot. carrying on a conversation for many many miles versus using the phone for directions or answering business calls are different uses of the cell during driving. the useless conversations between those who are not able to handle multitasking is what seems to be the problem with cell phones and cars. so, who decides what is useless??? it is not always practical to pull over to use the cell. there are neighborhoods in which that action in and of itself is a suspicious action. common sense is also a limited comodity. it is not learned, yet it is taught-- enforcing too many laws will completely limit actions of citizens and create a more limited society----- and i received those who did not do so well in the meeting of the cars for 30 years. it isd not a pretty picture what a car can do to human--with or without another car to protect -----we all say we are perfect--so, then, WHO is it that is making all these mistakes if we are all indeed perfect?? what datsunlover said.....and gollum........

having been critical care area nursie for many many years, and having held cal club and sfr scca memberships --years ago--i know the value of good car control and focus on the driving. so many things happen that are irreversible when the attention drifts--conversing on cell, whatever--and then i got to have to tell parents/children/whomever.....about the problems and progresses and such , of their icu/ er/ pacu patient-family member. very not cool. the accidents are so easily avoided just by paying attention and knowing how to drive and keep control of the car. i survived many (5) accidents learning car control-the hard way--not in a controlled setting. ouch. no one was huirt and the dents were not large.....but the principle is that should not have happened--i think kids would pay better attention in drivers ed if the program included HOW TO DRIVE.........not just how to make a straight line and turn the wheels without hitting anything. parents need to instill into their kids a responsibility factor. HAY--I YAM OVER 55 and i drive well. the seniors with BLUE HAIR are the ones ----and the men over the age of ability to see over the steering wheel.........

racing on the freeways is why god made SCCA, is it not?????? to keep it on the enclosed track, make it safer for all involved and prevent more nonesensical loss of life and mayhem.......
