On the Tomei head gasket kit do they inc a oil restrictor with it ?

I had my head drain arrive some weeks ago in the UK, i am VERY impressed with the workmanship on the unit it is very well made !!!!

Hi i have bought some new RS Watanabe R Type wheels for my RB project & a set of the ZG Fender Flares. The rear wheel size is 16" x 9.5" -19 will i be able to fit a 265-45-16 tyre on it with out fitting the flares ?. Any feedback would be great.

Yes have built in travel limiter into the flaps, have taken out the original pin and replaced with metal rod that is slightly thinner, then at both ends it is turned in at a angle so it only open part way about 35 degrees the thinner rod also allows less friction between the two hindges the photos are the mock up and uses garden wire to see if it all worked OK.

Street ATI Damper & set of RB26DETT ARP head bolts delivered to UK $800.00 USD as the cost of the ATI Damper over here is $1200 USD from a ATI UK agent on is own without the head bolts.

My street ADI damper has arrived from USA and have noticed in the paperwork you dont balance the damper with the crank/bottom end it is fitted to the engine after you built it (if you go that far) and the first time you run your engine with it on after 2000 RPM it balances itself. And it also looks a great well made part.

Yes its 1/2" from the pickup point and not the screen. The diamond shape size was made so that when the trap doors open they did not hit the pickup pipe if the diamond shape was smaller then they would. Also remember that when both front or rear doors open if they are spaced too close together then they will catch.

Bob here are some pictures of my Thargard sump with modifications have added baffles and trap doors (still have to build the doors up) and have made the oil pick up pipe to fit the new sump design and have added a brace that bolts to the front windage tray, we only used the original new pick up end and the block mount and made the rest up. In the first picture you can see the pen marking the centre of the sump the baffles were then made to fit around this i did make up a template design first to see that it all fitted OK before we welded it up. The oil pick up pipe has 1/2" clearance from the bottom of the pan and in the last picture you can see where it fits.

Have checked over here in UK and the RB25 flywheel bolts are shorter than the RB26 ones so if your uprated flywheel is thinner than the standard Nissan unit you will have to use the RB25 bolts or your RB26 ones will bottom out.

Are the RB25 flywheel bolts shorter than the RB26 ones ? As i am putting a HKS triple plate clutch/flywheel onto my RB26 engine for my 240z and have noticed that the HKS flywheel is thinner than the stock RB26 one and the bolts could bottom out ?. Any help would be great.

ATI has 2 dampers listed for the RB26 R33 engine a street unit and a race unit is it worth paying the extra for the race unit ?.

How do you tell on the cranks if you have the narrow oil pump drive ?

Great pictures of the sump mock up Bob do you think you will have any problems with it clearing the Zeds front cross member ?.

My copy came (thanks to Sparky for sending it to me here in the UK) just a great read, an insperation for me to pull my finger out and finish mine off. Mark the car is a work of art i just love it.
