  1. nikko, if i can get over to the garage sometime this week, ill post pics of the custom bellhousing that came with the thing. The front half of the front bellhousing is from the President automatic, and the rear of the front bellhousing is from a regular datsun Z 4/5 speed tranny. Right now there is a 4 speed mated to the v8, i can slip the custom bellhousing of and put it on a datsun Z 5 speed, and have a 5 speed V8.
  2. so 1975 this year, 1976 next year, 1977 the year after that, 1978, 1979, and so on?
  3. Bigger oil passages to eliminate bleeding and stiffer/slightly longer springs in the adjusters to keep the lash pad on the cam lobe, and that problem goes away. Too simple, not rocket science.
  4. Thats just purity at its best. So many things people say cant be done, and here on hybridz thry have been proven wrong, over and over, time after time.
  5. I just went over to a hardware store and got the next up strength spring. The stock springs are about 1/4 long, so you need to keep it about that length, no shorter.
  6. My p90a build is coming along slowly, but progressing none the less. Ive rebuilt my hydraulic lifters, replaced the springs inside with new ones, and now im getting started on the head. I would go p90a, because the valve guides are stainless steel and last a lot longer, if not forever. If you are concerned, check out this thread to see what you are getting into with hyrdaulic lifters. http://hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=26904&highlight=hydraulic+lifters The p90a is truely a great head, and the last inline L series head that Nissan marketed. I have one in perfect condition. People say you cannot run a performance cam on these heads due to the hydraulic lifters, but i am certain that it is possible, after researching and spending time with the head and its components. Good luck.
  7. But of course, we are all a month older now though
  8. That drivers side airbag looks like it can be reused again! I wonder how many members names on Honda Tech have "JDM" in them...

  13. We were just capturing the essence of a car club. We didnt want anything illegal or stupid in this video. Just good clean sleak Z's prowling the streets.

  15. Here is one you guys will love. It starts with a Z32 doing a mini donut, and i had to show him off in my black 280zx i used to have. It also shows me doing donuts in the rain, smoking an mr2, and the 130+mph run. http://socalz.org/video/socalz1.wmv right click, save as

  17. I posted this last night, but had issues with the .mov format. Its in .wmv format now, so please enjoy! Thanks to Nick Gregson, we finally wrapped up one of many SoCalZ videos. Nick takes clips from months of hanging out, and puts together KICK ASS videos of all the local guys having fun with their Z's. Go ahead and watch the video, and wish you were in SoCal RIGHT CLICK, save as http://socalz.org/video/SoCalZSE.wmv http://www.got-z.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1727&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
  18. You are just getting your permit? I recall you are 14-15? You dont need anything turbo right now.
  19. $2,550 for a set of rims is extremely steep. Ive seen pics of your car cuban, its the one that you were trying to sell here a while back, right? Those rims will wear your car, not your car wearing those wheels. I would spend the $ on another Z before you purchase any kind of rim. Search the archives on this site, that car would be hell to bring back to life if the guys here spend yers just getting rid of surface rust. Its a "wheel", i hate seeing people say "rim". Here is a picture of a rim
  20. Mike, if the z you are putting them one is your yellow on in your sig, then they should fit fine, since it looks like you got the z32 wheels working on there fine. A fellow with a z31 over here in the SoCal area is using 350z wheels, bolted right up. If you can bolt those z32 wheels up to your 240, the 350z/g35 wheels should go right on too. Chris King's 300zx REDPRLZ
  21. I would just stick with the L28et for your zx. Everything will be near plug and play, and its always nice to have 6 cylinders running into 1 turbo, for instant boost. Swapping any engine will require a lot of mods, MONEY, and would probably take you more than a year. If i can remember, you are 16-17? Not to shy you away from going to extremes, but i dont see you actually doing any kind of swap.
