  1. Does anyone know if the strong arm hatch strut 4313 for a 240z will hold up the hatch with a BRE spoiler? Is there another gas strut suport that will work with the added weight?
  2. Wound up finding new old stock from a dealer back east. Figured the original made it 40 years, might as well get another.
  3. I have a 71 240Z, produced in 11-70. The brake master cylinder has the brake ports opposite the newer model Z's. The front port is for the front brakes, the rear is for the rear brakes. Can I swap in a 72 & up master cylinder with the front port going to the rear brakes and the rear port going to the front brakes and swap the lines going to the master cylinder or will I run into trouble with the push rod depth between the master cylinders? Thanks.

  5. When the machine says , to be paid by cashier , you know you got a big one. Then they get your license and SS number. Hide it from the old lady and your good.
  6. With that short of a stroke and a non race deal you would be better off with a small runner 23 degree head.
  7. Is it a bare block or a fitted block with crank, rods, and pistons ? It's easier to go 18 degree from the get go than to go 23 degree and then decide to go 18 degree later on. My engine is made out of stocking parts, the only thing custom was the cam that I had comp grind for me.
  8. The 18 degree heads that I run are Brodix 18X. They have the Brodix spread port exhaust patern. I used a Headman weld up kit to make the headers. What heads are you going to use? There are a couple of diffrent exhaust bolt designs out there.
  9. Best of luck Doc. There is a bond between a boy and his father. Today would have been my Dad's 84th birthday, I lost him in August. Do what ever you have to do to take care of your son.
  10. Happy belated Birthday Doc. Don't let the kids bug you about your age, I got you by 9 years. LOL. 1953 model here.
  11. Thats how my buddies last divorce started over a R1 Yamaha. He told me the same thing about the begging for forgiveness deal. She said talk to my lawyer.
  12. Finally got below 2 bucks here . $1.99 yesterday.
  13. Well I am headed out this morning. Hope to get lots of photos.
  14. In Vegas Monday and leaving out Friday. Anyone else going to the SEMA show this year ?
  15. Going to run cooler with a lot more torque. I ran a blown alky AJ 481X in my 32 Bantam, it was a blast. Use fresh alky and clean out the system once your done. I would drain the cell and clean the lines and BV with marvel mistery oil.
  16. I have the Strange external adjustable struts on my Z. Good bang for the buck. If you want to go high dollar get Lamb struts with carbon brakes, other wise the Strange struts are just dandy.
  17. Figures are based off the ground and out from the centerline of the rear axel.
  18. Not that I know of Jerry. Just me and my Dad , and at 83 Dad doesn't feel like working a video cam. I'm just happy he comes to the track.
  19. I figured the center of gravity as the camshaft on my sbc. I have the crank center line at 10". The IC point is 42.5" out and 4.125" up. Front strut extension full tight. Rear shocks 4 on compression 6 on extension. 5.5psi in rear 32X14.5X15 hoosiers on 15X14 rims.
  20. Mine is 94" with the stock steel body and fenders. I pushed the front struts foward and streached the rear wheel wells. Only fiberglass is the hood. I did get a 1.159 60" in Sacramento N/A with a single 4 sbc on gas. The down side to running fast with a short wheelbase is I have been on the roof two times in the Datsun. If you need some 4 link settings let me know. I am running the chassie works eliminator 2 4 link set up.
