  4. briann510 thanks for photos and how is the current condition of the wheels/tires? and how much would you sell them for? what is the total shipping weight? i live in Kuwait and i pay 60 bucks for each 10Lbs Ryan...... i have to check my fronts first and then i'll let you know what i'm gonna do. gearheadstik thanks for the warning, i didnt know that. well, if the M/T drag radials hook good enough on the track, then i'm gonna stick with them, if not, i have to get real slicks. how thick the spacer your buddy used? and is it really safe to use spacers when launching hard at the track?

  7. and for the ford tranny, does it have to pull or push the fork??
  8. ok, urgent question???? i'm installing the SC now and i have a question about it, should it push the fork toward the engine block or pull it toward the tranny?? i have a ford T5 Tranny that came on my 1989 mustang??
  9. hi Ryan, well it's a weekend car and a drag strip too, i think i'm gonna get the illuminas and 8" wide with 235/60-15. as for the front, i'll go with what you told me, 6'' wide with M/Ts 26x7.5-15. thanks alot for helping me here, one more thing, do you think i need to get front struts?? or only the rear one would be enough? if its better for drag racing to get all of them, than i'll do it....knowing that even if i drive the car on public streets, i'm drag racing it
  10. congrats = english felicitation = french mabroook = arabic to all of you guys
  11. checked the jeg's wheels, they dont have anything in 4-4.5 bolt pattern
  12. Ryan, your advice is more than helpful and thanks alot for all the info, about changing to coilovers, i'm not sure if i will do that since i'm thinkin about getting a ford 8.8 shortend Diff in the future. for now, i'll stick with the stock suspension or maybe get the Tokicos HP (blue ones) just to improve the ride, i have tokico red springs, i bought the car with those installed. so you think i should go with 7'' wide instead of 8''?? about the front, i was thinking more like a 175 or 185/60-15 tire. what do you think? are those too skinny for the street? Meaty69Maro: thanks for the info, haven't checked them yet but do they weight the same as the welds?
  13. thanks Ryan, what do you mean by Rolling the inner fender lips?? what size tires i can use? is 235/60-15s are the widest i can go? and what size slicks to use? 26/8.5 15 will work or can i go wider than 8.5? about the fronts? if i'll go with 15*5, what do you recomend for tire size and wheel BS ?? i'm sorry that i'm asking so many questions but you have to know that i will not have any fitting trials, when thery are shipped to kuwait, they have to fit, plus, shipping is expensive as hell, i'll pay around 500 bucks just to ship the wheels/tires to kuwait.
  14. IMO, i've been around hondas for the last 5 years maybe, having a buddy with 3 hondas, outlaw civic that runs mid 9s and the other civic runs high 10s, the third is a supercharged S2000, if i go Honda engine, i'll do a H22/turbo engine they are relativly cheap, you can find parts very easily and 400HP is not a big number to achieve. but i'm not sure if they do make a kit that allows them to be in RWD configuration.
  15. Turbo Meister ..................................RESPECT
  16. hi guys, i've been reading alot about wheels/tires and offsets. i wanna buy a new set of drag lites, after all the reading, a 15*8 with 4.5 BS fitted with 235/60-15s should fit with stock suspension without problems?? and what about slicks? what size would fit? About the fronts, i have no idea if i should go with 15*6.5 or 15*3.5, and what tire size to match and what BS to use. please guys, your help is needed because i'm buying the set from the states and ship it to kuwait, i'll pay alot of many and would love to have a set that fits without problems. thanks
  17. i dont know how fast a stock 240sx is, but i would say your Z will be faster just because its a Z and also because our cars have the same year/ same model but not exactly the same mods LOOOL
  18. Congrats dual carbs would look better. don't they?
  19. Brian, i'm using a bosch fuel pump that should flow way over 80psi and 30lbs injectors for now, haven't sprayed 150 yet, i only sprayed 75 and everything was ok, next week, i'll spray 150 and see how it goes, if fuel delivery is a problem, i'll go with an Aeromotive A1000 series fuel pump 260DET, you got it right dude, the clutch is desgined to give slip on takeup:) and a report will be posted but i have to break it in frist (500miles) and then, i'll floor it with NOS and see if it's worth the name POWERGRIP HD thanks
  20. hi, thanks about the comment on my Z and here is my progress link where you can find alot of photos of my 500Z: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=117530&page=3 about the V8 wiring beeing spliced to the original harness, its not a problem at all, fog lights/ tail lights are not a problem neither........well i had such problem because my 130AMP alternator was spliced to the original harness, after the small fire i had, i wired the alternator directly to the battery without passing through the original harness. so if my alternator goes bad, nothing will be harmed except for the battery. do you get the idea? and sorry but i'm not realy familiar with the chevy alternator. about the engine beeing stout, i agree at 110%, my engine comes from my 1989 mustang, drove my mustang for several years and sprayed 150hp dry shot for 3 years without one single problem, now i have it on my Z and i'm planning on spraying it again. if 150 is alot you think, 100HP shot is cool enough and doesn't need any mods except for the timing and the spark plugs. my timing is set on 8 and stock plugs gapped at 0.32.
  21. guys, please stop it....... i finshed my ford swap on my 280Z about a month ago, now and after reading this thread, i'm thinking about building a N/A L28 240Z
