  4. I`m pretty sure this has been discussed many times before me. And I really didn`t want to annoy you HybridZ vets with this question so I made a research about the subject. Well, this is the only thread I was able to find: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?p=667928 But it didn`t help much. I have the "How to turn your Datsun into a hotrod" book but it didn`t have much info on the BRE Z. Now the only thing I know about the BRE car is that it had a very stock L24(which is good news to me because I want to keep my L24) but they replaced the stock cam with a better one.What kind of cam was it? Another question is, this car quite possibly had a 4 speed tranny. What were the gears? I`m seriously thinking about building an exact replica of John Morton`s 240Z. It would be great if you posted links to the pictures of the original car.Especially the interior and the engine. Any help will be much appreciated. ERIC
  5. Thanks for the info Brian. Here`s a question:I searched the net but couldn`t really find any reliable info about John Morton`s BRE Z...Does anybody know the exact specs of his 240Z? Gears, carbs etc. I`d love to build a replica of it. ERIC
  6. Brian.Please don`t get me wrong. After I watched the Infineon 1/4 drag racing video on your website, I`ve had the impression that your Z was a Pro Street race car.My bad... I guess I`m going to end up buying an L28 motor and the 280ZX tranny. Thanks for all the help. PS: Brian your car REALLY looks like a Pro Street dragster...Especially with that cowl hood:-o ) ERIC
  7. Briann510. I checked your website. Thanks but your Z is more like a Pro Street race car. That`s not what I`m after. I want a race car that I can drive on the track,street and freeway.I already have the strut and sway bars. Eibach springs and Tokico`s. The car handles well. Mr Mortensen, could you please tell me more about your Z? Gear ratios, engine, all the specs maybe with pictures of your engine? Thank you very much. ERIC
  8. In case you haven`t noticed, I don`t know much about gear ratios. My daily driver has been a 98 LS1 Z-28 for the last 8 years and I love the way it accelerates( 4 speed automatic-I drive it like a manual car though:mrgreen: ) I will get the 280ZX tranny for my 240Z. Question is how do I adjust the gear ratios so that I get a 0-60 under 6 seconds, or is it impossible with an L-24 triple setup like mine?... I don`t know anything about it....All help is appreciated.Thank you... ERIC

Thank you for doing it for me, it helped a lot!...(BTW, title should have been Swapping 240Z 4 speed to 5 speed. Thanks anyways Jon) Now I know exactly what to do.   20. Sort of. My airdam is black and I have the original block with triple webers. Our model car comes with SR20. Also I have magnesium panasports. Our model mainly will have black, silver or chrome watanabe lookalikes.There will be different wheels available on some color Z`s. I will post pictures of my car in a few days.   24. I WISH THAT WAS POSSIBLE!!!! That would be sweet. We have to keep the cost down. What you want would cost A LOT of money. As for engine swaps. Many customizers do that on their own. Please check out my new thread about JADA tuner cars. Thanks. ERIC
  25. What I`ve been told by many people is that, the only perfect fit 5 speed tranny would be from a Non Turbo 280Z. You`re talking about 240SX. That sounds like a lot of work. ERIC
