  1. And would Jason Statham use a automatic in any of his chase scenes? I think not, he would definitely pick manual. There's a reason its called a manual transmission
  2. Are you planning something DSLJohn?
  3. I saw it last night too. I was like "What? They used a Z as the car to get hit with debris?" my friends just laughed lol. As for the movie, I thought it was great. I haven't seen any of the other ones though.
  4. Haha yes. I work at advance auto and I get a kick out of the people that come in trying to recycle EVERYTHING haha. Old cd players, blown light bulbs, pretty much any disposable car part you can think of lol. And while I'm not out to "destroy the planet" or anything, the environment is the last thing I think of when it comes to my Z. I think we should take care of what we have but some people go way overboard with being "environmentally friendly"
  5. Well it looks great. I'll just have to make something I guess lol.
  6. No problem. Where did you get the master cylinder heat shield btw?
  7. If it becomes an issue you may want to take some vacuum line, slice it on one side creating a "U" shape instead of the original "O" shape. Then put the vacuum line on the edge of the metal around the pipes.
  8. That was on Speedhunters a day or two ago. Absolutely gorgeous car though.
  9. The turn signals are the only difference IIRC.
  10. V8? I thought we were talking about Z cars?
  11. Turbo swap????? You can do that??? Is there a kit??? Does the motor need special mounts or something??? TELL ME MORE!!!!
  12. Thanks Bill, I've seen the pressed steel ones before, but mine look exactly like yours (minus the yellow anyway lol). Whats funny is that two of them had cragar center caps and two had american racing center caps haha. Thanks again.
  13. Do you happen to know the name of the wheels in the older picture? I've got a set of 14's I'm going to be using on me car. Just wondering what they're called because no one seems to know lol. Thanks
  14. I've heard you can actually dilute the oil with water to make more quarts, they'll just be slightly less effective. You may want to look into that.
  15. You'll probably need more than just that one quart of oil in the picture jk. As for the 3M thing, maybe it was part of some kind of abrasive disc to clean off a gasket surface?
  16. Although I'm not a huge fan of the box flares (was hoping for stock replacement FG), the pricing seems pretty fair.
  17. YOU CAN DO THAT?????? Lol just playing. Welcome to Hybrid 1978 280z.
  18. Really?? Where in NC? I haven't heard of them before but I'd love to get some FG parts.
  19. ...why not just actually FIX the leak? hahahaha
  20. Haha, thats awesome. Reminds me of this http://radiofaction.blogspot.com/2009/04/finally-junk-food-with-street-cred.html
  21. That Austin's (240hoke) car. There's a thread from a while back that somebody photoshopped his car a couple different colors.
  22. There was an article in the Feb. '09 issue of Sport Compact Car. http://www.modified.com/tech/sccp_0902_tein_suspension_upgrades_project_s13_tech/index.html
  23. That's awesome haha. I'm not too worried about being sued or anything though. I doubt Rogue Status would even find out that my car has their design on it. And even if they did, I'm not making any money off of it or using it as a promotional car or anything like that.
  24. I had a somewhat similar problem. I took my car (maxima) to the car wash I always use, pull up to the vacuums afterwards and notice a slice in the sidwall of my tire. Its not all the way through and the tire's still holding air but its pretty deep. I assume it was the rail type thing that the driver's side tires go through. I went over to one of the operators and told him, showed him my tire. And he said there was no way that could happen. I think he's just saying that to get out of buying me a tire. But before I can even say anything he says he'll show me. He goes over to the entrance and hits the emergency shut-off button and walked me through the entire car wash showing me the rail the whole way. And he was right, there's a protective strip that covers the rail and it couldn't have cut my tire. So basically, I'd just go talk to them about it. You might get lucky and have somebody like I did who will actually look into it.
  25. LOL you have a point. And I'll definitely post some pictures when I'm done. Hopefully that won't be to far from now. I'm finishing up the body work now.
