  1. Too bad you just blow off anything after '83. My '84 Z31 has been as dependable as the day is long, and even after 20 years of being left out in the weather, there isn't a trace of rust to be found on it. If the S models resemble jags, the 300s are styled more like a vette. And even without the chevy in it, it took a pretty damn good early Z to just "blow it off".
  2. This site is awesone. Any time that I have a question, there is an abundance of help. You guys sure make this project simpler. Thanks joe
  3. I've been looking for an air dam for my z31, but the ones that I've found look like crap. After I finish getting the engine done, and the cowl attached to the hood, I would like to try and make my own. First, Am I out of my mind? Is this something that I should even consider doing? Second, I want to use the pink insulation foam board because it is very dense. (much like myself) Does any one know if this type foam will work, or will it turn to mush when it comes in contact with resin? If it doesn't , what kind of foam should I use? Thanks, joe
  4. I modify everything I get my hands on. That's what led me here in the first place. what ever you decide, the great thing about this site is that you will have access to a huge pool of knowlege, and a group of people who are willing to share it.
  5. I thought it could be a jag, but the front view had me thinking it was maybe a C-type. Oh well, if I was smart, I'd get a real job
  6. I woouldn't make a lamp out of them, but I still have to run a carb for a while. The cost of doing them just makes my wallet shiver. Oh well, maybe in the spring.....
  7. does the name Muldowney rinnnng a bell?
  8. Congratulations Tim, hope the weather is good and you get a fine ride in the sun
  9. Mike, You should try racingjunk.com I've bought a lot of stuff there and had good luck. joe

  11. Mike, Sorry about your new toy getting hit. I agree that 99% of the "people" on the road shouldn't be. I am out there most of the time, and can't believe some of the things that I see. What puzzles me is why the stupid sh!ts never seem to hit any thing that isn't nice. joe
  12. I did a bunch of research, and have come to the conclusion that the Kinser stack injection is not going to do the job for me. Looks like I am going to run the 750 Carter that has been bolted on for the last couple of months. Maybe when I can afford it I will convert the Kinser to efi, or maybe I'll just make a lamp out of it. Oh well, the motor mounts are bolted in, and I can finally start on the rear crossmember, so at least I'm making some progress.(I think)
  13. Thanks Jon, I assumed that it would make it worse, and wonder how much. I may need a little more space under the oil pan because I really don't want to rebuild the motor mounts that I just fabricated. joe
  14. If I lower the rack on my Z31 avbout a half inch will it adversley affect the bump steer? If so, how much? I may need to reposition it to gain oil pan clearance, and I dont want to cause a major steering problem. joe
  15. Bob, I know that mother nature will get you where ever you live. When I was moving back to Oregon I must have heard that statement a thousand times. So I just thought that I'd toss in my standard answer from then. I really liked Tulsa and if I didn't live here, That would be my first choice. There are places in Washington State where road signs that say "Tsuami Eveauation Route" and directly under it another. "Volcano Evacuation Route". Makes me glad that all I have to endure are forest fires, and the occasional Californian.
  16. Click and Clack score again.
  17. BillZ260, I used to live in Sand Springs. I'd rather put up with a quake than a tornado. My house might fall down in an earthquake, but it will still be on my property, or at least in the same county.
  18. Tim, Glad to hear that you came through the shaker OK. Guess it was really bad in Paso Robles.
  19. It must belong to a woman...Pink lid, seat down.
  20. Of course there are aliens, and they drive old fords. Haven't you read the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy?
  21. Nothing beats the look on the face of some jerk when you pull a huge handgun from under the seat.
