I got hammered pretty good for having tinted windows in a kenworth that I used to drive. I think that the CHP just has a general hard on for big trucks.
I thought that someone manufactered glass for buildings that the tint was controled with electricity. I couldn't think of anything more satisfying than to be able to say, "Tinted glass? I'm not sure what you are talking about officer."
Corvairs were kind of unstable, but a lot of fun to drive. The 180 hp turbo Corsa was a really fast little car even though it tended to want to get airborn about half way through third gear.
What do you use for center bolt heads? I couldn't find any tall covers for my L-98 heads around here. One place said that they could get them, but the price they quoted me was just slightly more than the national debt of a large country just south of Canada.
I'm starting to build motor mounts, but I 'm not sure how heavy to make them. I was thinking that 5/16 plate should be thick enough, but would appreciate any input. I only want to have to deal with this once, and I still want to keep this as light as I can.

Finally managed to get the paterns made for the motor mounts. Unfortunatly, my buddy needed his cherry picker back, and for the first time in months, Harbor Freight doesn't have them on sale. Oh well, as they say, "Do do occurs"
IMHO John is right on. What he said about the employee being number one, is the approach taken by Southwest Airlines and it seems to work very well for them. If your boss doesn't treat you like an asset, well as they say "S*** always rolls downhill"

I've used the search function, but couldn't find any answers to my question. I would like to lower my steering rack about an inch to get more clearance on my oil pan and make a little more room for the exhaust. Can anyone tell me what this will do to the steering?
1. KB Hemi fuel engine.
2. Pratt and Whitney Wasp or Wasp Jr. radial. (Have you ever heard of Steve Wolfe's Pitts Samson?)
3. Harley Davidson through 4" megaphones

I was looking around on another sight, and came across a post where you advised using 1 ton chevy truck motor mounts. I'm gonna buy a set of mounts and wonder why you recomend the 1 ton. Can you post a couple of pics of your mounts? The shots of your car at Z Driver are awsome.
Thanks,
Joe
