wow, had no idea something like that could be done, but hey, nice info there Tony, i guess that would be something you would only do for displacement limitations, or maybe there are other benefits.

will a radiator from a 79ZX fit in a 240z?

i put one in my 77, just had to redrill the mounting holes in the radiator side tabs a little higher so it would sit a little lower, i think it was 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch, been a while now. -
Tony, i had a question about your bonneville racer, i read that you offset ground the crank, is this true? and what for, never heard of it before. also, whats wrong with 7500 RPMs?

mine was like that on my 77, i verified it had a 3.54 and a 17 tooth cog, running 225/60R14 in the rear, just put an 18 tooth cog in there and it was all good, just slowed it down a little.

whoa there Mr. D, didn't mean to ruffle any feathers or generalize anything, but don't do the same to me. it was not predicated on how fast the L28 can rev but rather the attainable RPM between it and the L24. lots of engines tach up quick but don't rev high. it was also on the premise of being a toy and not a daily driver car that sees lots of traffic. thats what i recall, anyway...
